Esther Mae Boreen, 85

Esther M. Boreen, 85, Wittenberg, went home to be with Jesus, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born on May 15, 1930 in the Town of Germania, the daughter of the late George and Lucy (Foth) Schroeder.
On September 14, 1956, Esther was united in marriage to Donald Boreen in Wittenberg. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1989.
Esther and Donald raised Black Angus Cattle and were well known for their maple syrup. She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, reading and music, especially hymns. Esther was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Wittenberg. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved her kittys and spending time with her family.
Survivors include one son, Joe (Arlene) Urcikan, Wittenberg; one daughter, Linda (Brad Kaiser) Maseman, Wittenberg; two grandchildren, Skyler (Amanda Bennett) Maseman and Shaina (Tyler Richardson) Soter, all of Weston; one great-grandchild on the way and two brothers, Tom Schroeder, Alaska and Louis (Elsie) Schroeder, TX. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by her siblings, Ethel, Mathilda, Frances, Mary Estelle, Edith, John, Joe, Harold and Ralph.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7pm on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Mike Siehr and Rev. Greg Dorsch will officiate. Visitation will be on Friday from 5pm until the time of services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. The family would like to thank Trish, Stephanie, Amanda and all the staff at Ministry Home Care Hospice for all their loving care.
