Glenn Allen Kegley, 81
Glenn Allen Kegley, of Antigo, died Sunday, September 25,2016 at Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.
He was born August 30, 1935 in Laona, WI, son of the late David and Opal Kegley. He married Rosemary Michels on June 13, 1959 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Polar.
Mr. Kegley served in the US Army from 1958-1960 and 1961-1962. He was employed at Kraft Foods.
He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He was active in Peace Lutheran School PTA, and was union president of Teamsters Local 446 while employed at Kraft.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include 2 daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Mattmiller of Antigo, and Cynthia Kegley of Wausau; 2 sons, Rodney (Mary) Kegley of Neenah, and David Kegley of Wausau; 8 grandchildren, Jed (Jackie) and Dennen Mattmiller, Michaela, Garrett, Autumn, Katelyn, Dylan, and Ryan Kegley; 3 sisters, Marge Maggio, Mary Lois (Charles) Bradish, and Sandy Toth; 2 brothers, Herb (Carol) Kegley, and Roger (Shirley) Kegley; a sister in law, Ruth Walters; a brother in law, Bill Bickler; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Beth Kegley; 4 sisters, Kaye Bickler, Carol Corcoran, Iris Brown, and Gloria Kegley; 4 brothers, Mike, Bill, Rudy, and Belv Kegley; 5 brothers in law, Charles Brown, Dean Corcoran, Charles Maggio, Julius (Lorraine) Michels, and Jim Walters, and a sister in law, Delores Knorr.
A funeral will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Karolus and Vicar Jarod Koenig officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 p.m. Friday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment with military honors will follow the service at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery in Polar.
