In local election coverage, the only opposed position in the area was the title of Langlade County Treasurer, a position that Tammy Wilhelm (58%) defeated Doug Nonnenmacher (42%).

The Elcho School District had two referendums that went to vote, including:

1. Shall the School District of Elcho, Langlade and Oneida Counties, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $18,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of additions, renovations, remodeling and replacement of portions of the existing District building; related site improvements; and the acquisition of furnishings, fixtures and equipment? This referendum passed with 57% yes vote as opposed to 43% no.
2. Shall the School District of Elcho, Langlade and Oneida Counties, Wisconsin be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $500,000 per year beginning with the 2017-2018 school year and ending with the 2020-2021 school year, for non-recurring purposes consisting of operational expenses? This referendum passed 56% yes to 44% no.
