After the dinner Vets Roll Co-Founder Mark Finnegan gave a presentation on the Vets Roll Organization. The program is like the Never Forgotten Honor Flight but in a slower environment. The trip to Washington D.C. is a four-day bus trip eliminating an intimidating experience for the elderly. Using charter coaches can offer the flexibility of socializing, moving around, playing cards and board games, restrooms and more. At a maximum of three hours on any leg of the trip, the traveling experience will approximate the time on board an airplane (from boarding to de-boarding) and eliminates parking garages, security checks, long walks etc.

Since the first Vets Roll trip in May 2010 over 1,300 veterans from 32 states have taken the bus trip that originates in South Beloit, IL. There is no cost to the veterans other than their expense of getting to South Beloit, IL.
The trip includes a tour and dinner at the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. The dinner is provided in the museum under the planes on display.

Other venues visited and activities on the trip consist of the WWII Memorial in Washington, the Korean, Vietnam and Lincoln Memorials, the National Marine Corps War Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, surprises almost non-stop for four days and a welcome home celebration.
