Antigo girl’s rummage sale gives unselfishly to animal shelter
By Peggy Prince
Cali Lutz, 12, is getting ready for her annual garage sale to help the Langlade County Humane Society, a sale that marks her biggest one to date.
Cali began visiting the animal shelter when she was only five. She has walked and played with the dogs but her favorites are the cats and kittens. She would listen for hours to Tracy as she told stories of how the animals came to be at the shelter and about their own personalities. Cali’s family has adopted two cats from the shelter.
A few years ago, Cali started raising funds for the shelter through her garage sales. She is very thankful to everyone who helps her help the Humane Society. Cali also plans to have even more items available for Antigo’s City Wide Sale coming up in June.
The sale is located at 712 Second Avenue, and will take place Friday, May 13th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 14th from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
