Robert Robinson, 76
Robert B. Robinson, of Antigo, died Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 76 years old. He was born on August 15, 1940 in Antigo, a son of Benjamin and Vivian (Schmidt) Robinson.
Robert lived in Illinois where he graduated from Downers Grove North High School in 1958.
He served in the United States Army with the Military Police for two years.
In 1961 he was united in marriage to Karen Ann Matocha. She preceded him in death in 1972.
Robert worked for Fischer Body in Illinois and Ohio as a tool and die maker and supervisor for several years before returning to Antigo in 1972. He purchased a farm in the town of Antigo which he operated until 1995. He later worked as an over the road truck driver, drove for Ferrellgas and worked for Ace Equipment in Antigo.
He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Perry Lodge in Salem, Ohio.
He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, reading, completing puzzles, and spending time with his friends at BB Jacks.
His children and grandchildren will remember the valuable time he spent with them sharing stories and life advice.
Survivors include two daughters, Penny (Steve) Stuiber of Oconto Falls, Shannon Moore of Wausau; two sons, Scott Robinson of Antigo, Robert Robinson II of Seattle, Washington; seven grandchildren Stephanie and Aaron Stuiber, Charles, Vennessa and Jakob Moore, Jordyn and Aiden Robinson; his former wife, Candace Robinson (Bob Fassbender) of Antigo; a sister, Penny (Dick) Jaskowiak of Illinois.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie Jean Robinson and a son, Brian Robinson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 – 2 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home.
