Robert “Rob” Korhonen, age 48, died Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Portage County. Robert was born November 6, 1968 in Milwaukee, the son of Barbara “Toni” Anderson and Robert Korhonen. Robert was also raised by his step father, Gary Miles who has preceded him in death.
On September 3, 1993 in was united in marriage to Jody (Wolf). She survives and resides in Antigo.
Robert was a machinist at JARP Industries in Schofield.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include 2 daughters, Stacy (Tyler) Zarda of Antigo and Karissa Korhonen of Antigo, 6 grandchildren, Lyndsay age 8, Kael age 5, Harper age 5, Logan age 4, Christopher age 3, and Leon age 1.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to ride motorcycle and fish. He enjoyed cooking out on the grill and most importantly loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his friend Buddy Krause. He loved his dog Saxon. Everyone he ever met liked him. His wife, daughters and grandchildren absolutely adored him. He was a great man with a heart of gold.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Details for the service will be published in the Antigo Daily Journal and online at www.strasserrollerfh.com.
