Stanley J Lukas, of Deerbrook, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. He was 77 years old. He was born on January 15, 1940 in Antigo, a son of Stanley and Margaret (Diksas) Lukas. He married Suzanne Jicha on July 18, 1964 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Antigo. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2014.

He was a graduate of Antigo High School.

Stanley attended University of Wisconsin at Madison then received a bachelors degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering.

He lived in Menominee Falls for several years before returning to Antigo in 1974. Stan was employed at Waukesha Bearings and Amron before starting his own business, Glas-Tek Fiberglass, a manufacturing company he operated in Neva until retirement in the early 1990s. In retirement he worked for Fittante Taxidermy.

Stan was an avid Antigo High School sports enthusiast. He coached Little League and Legion baseball and enjoyed following his sons sporting events through their college years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and horseback riding.

He was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church in Neva.

Survivors include three sons, Scott (Diane) Lukas of Elcho, Michael (Nicki) Lukas of Almond, WI, Mark (Jennifer) Lukas of California; daughter in law, Kris Lukas of Libertyville, Illinois; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, and a son, Steven Lukas.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wencel Catholic Church, Neva with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in St. Wencel Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday also at the funeral home.

A parish wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
