Tom Powell, 67

Tom Powell, of Antigo, died Friday, December 29, 2017, at his home at the age of 67. He was born on November 24, 1950, in Antigo, a son of the late Floyd Sr. and Margaret (Clark) Powell.
Tom graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1970. He was a truck driver for Prince Brothers’ Trucking, retiring in 2013.
Tom was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed spending time at the cabin and loved his family. He liked watching Western movies, was a John Wayne fan, and was rumored to have office space at Clark’s Auto.
Survivors include four sisters, Mary (Don) Teal of Greenville, Cindy (Neal) Martin of Deerbrook, Maydene (Gerald) McDougal of Deerbrook and Glenda (Jim) Yonke of Merrill; five brothers, Floyd Powell of Antigo, Richard (Sharon) Powell of Livingston, KY, Roy (Cindy) Powell of Antigo, Loren (Marian) Powell of Antigo and Dan (Phil Suhm) Powell of New Zealand; two foster-sisters, Debbie Witman of Pickerel and Ann (Sam) Bort of Racine; and was a “favorite uncle” to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Gary Strube.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Pearson Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
