Jay A. Lorrie, 79

Jay A. Lorrie died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Tomahawk Health Services in Tomahawk under the care of Ministry Home Care and Hospice. He was 79 years old.
Mr. Lorrie was born March 10, 1938 in Detroit, son of the late Joe Lalli and Rose Zaitz.
He graduated from the Fowler, CA School District. He then joined the US Navy, where he served overseas in the West Pacific and South China Sea. Mr. Lorrie owned and operated a heating and air conditioning business in Fowler, CA, and worked for school districts on their heating systems. He later retired to Wisconsin.
Mr. Lorrie was a member the Elks and IOOF. He belonged to SS. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church.
Survivors include his sister, Jeanine (Guenther) Marquette of Antigo; his nieces and nephews, George G. Guenther of Lansing, MI, Daniel (Vickie) Guenther of Ishpeming, MI, Thomas Guenther of Antigo, Robert (Cheryl) Guenther of Antigo, David Guenther of Antigo, Mary Guenther of Sierra Vista, AZ, Patricia Guenther Rougeot of Wausau, and Lori Guenther Krueger of Tomahawk; and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Bernard Guenther.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 p.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Fr. Zach Weber officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 Saturday at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will take place later in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Argonne, WI.
