Mary Ann Draeger, 79

Mary Ann Draeger, of Aniwa, died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Aspirus Langlade Hospital. She was 79 years old.

She was born December 27, 1938 in Antigo, daughter of the late Lyle Teal, Sr. and Mary (Pilecky) Teal. She married Earl Draeger on October 13, 1956 in Aniwa, and he survives.

Mrs. Draeger dairy farmed with her family for many years. She was also employed painting children’s toys and puzzles in Appleton, and later at Vulcan and Walmart.

She was a member of the Town of Harrison Homemakers. She was an avid gardener, growing vegetables and red roses. She also enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, and her cats. She was an excellent baker and a good cook.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include 4 daughters, Donna (Myron) Krueger of Aniwa, Kathy (Alan) Zelinski of Deerbrook, Laura Draeger (Kent Soufal) of Antigo, and Charlene (Mark) Skittone of Antigo; 4 grandchildren, Briar Servi (Alison Marion) of Chippewa Falls, Dena (Matt) Muraski of Portland, OR, Devin Gress (Christy Waldner) of Antigo, and Brendon Skittone of Antigo; 2 great-grandchildren Rylin Gress, and Madison Muraski; a sister, Betty (Raymond) Wild of Antigo; and 2 brothers, Lyle (Audis) Teal, Jr. of Mosinee, and James (Janice) Teal of Deerbrook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Teal; brother, Robert Teal; and sister in law, Joanne Teal.

A family gathering in Mary Ann’s memory will take place at a later date.

The family extends a special thank you to the Birnamwood ambulance service and Aspirus Langlade Hospital.
