Jack Jensen, 74

Jack Jensen, of Crandon, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. He was 74 years old. He was born on November 1, 1945, in Clintonville, a son of Arnold and Monica (Mitchell) Jensen. He married Mary Walentowski on December 15, 1984, in Crandon.
He was a graduate of Clintonville High School. As a young man, Jack was employed at Curwood in New London. He purchased the dairy farm next door to his parents and farmed for many years. While farming, he also logged part time. He and Mary relocated to Crandon, where he owned and operated Jensen Logging. They then owned Pack Em Inn Bar in Crandon.
He was a member of the Crandon Lions Club for many years.
Jack had a great love for family and cherished time spent with them. Pontoon boat adventures on the lake were of great interest as well as hunting and fishing. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badger fan.
Jack loved to socialize and this lead to him building many friendships in the community. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed many long rides.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Josey (Jim) Cabaj of Baraboo, Jodie (Kim) Koback of Plover; two sons, Joe (Gabe) Jensen of Baraboo, Jim (Julie) Jensen of Lake Delton. He was papa Jack to eight grandchildren, Nicki Green, Ryan (Alex) Cabaj, Amanda (Mark) Papko, Kelsey (Tyler) Fish, Jordan and Jamie Jensen, Lexi and Alivia Koback and seven great-grandchildren, Rylee and Evan Green, Tessa, Posey and Fern Cabaj, Jensen and Mila Papko; two sisters, Gloria (George) Brown of De Pere, Cheryl (Dick) Shepard of Pulaski; sister-in-law, Verna Kuschel of De Pere; and former wife, Corrine (Bohman) Jensen of Baraboo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Jensen.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
