Francis “Frank” A. Kinberg, Jr., 82, Rosholt, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at his home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice and his family.
Frank was born on October 3, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Francis and Ella (Cervany) Kinberg, Sr.
On March 14, 1964, he was united in marriage to Joan Schohn in Chicago, IL. She survives.
Frank was a U.S. Air force Veteran.
Frank worked as a lithographer at the former American Can Company in Maywood, IL for over 30 years.After retirement, the couple moved to the township of Bevent. He was a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent and the Elderon Memorial VFW Post #8068. Frank enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading and woodworking. He loved to tinker and was known as Mr. Fix It. Frank was a talented artist and did many beautiful drawings and paintings. He was an animal lover and enjoyed watching birds. Frank loved spending time with his grandchildren and his nieces and nephews. He gave many boat rides and cart rides on his riding lawnmower.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Kinberg, Rosholt; three children, Judith Kinberg, Rosholt, Paula (Anthony) Polinski, St. Charles, IL and Paul Kinberg, Rosholt and three grandchildren, Taylor Polinski, Anthony Francis Polinski and Jacob Polinski. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Doyle.
Per Frank’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences and memories may be shared at schmidtschulta.com.
