James “Jim” Arrowood, 81
James “Jim” Arrowood , of Lily, died Tuesday, September 1, 2015 peacefully at home. He was 81 years old. He was born on January 11, 1934 in Polar, a son of Louis and Elva (Lambert) Arrowood. He married Norma Ingalls on April 28, 1956 in Kenosha. She survives.
He served in the United States Marine Corps for three years and was honorably discharged in 1956 as a Sergeant.
James was a longtime employee of A. O. Smith in Milwaukee. He retired as a Supervisor in December of 1988 and moved to Lily.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association for many years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening in his “Garden of Weed’n”, and following the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors including his wife are three daughters, Vickie Guthrie, Sheboygan, Joleen (Tom) Thiermann, Grafton, Nancy Arrowood, Grafton; three sons, Jim (Sandy) Arrowood, Lily, Terry Arrowood, Grafton, Wesley (Patty) Arrowood, Grafton; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Emily (Darrell) Wilke, Sheboygan, Kathleen (Tom) Mervyn, Lily, Cindy (Roger) Benishek, Antigo; a brother, Tim (Lisa) Spencer, Lily.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Mary Jane “Fluff” Tackett, Mildred Rauhut, and Susan Pelky.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Jedras officiating. Burial will take place in Bent Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be 4 – 7 p.m. on Friday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday until the time of services.
