Antigo High School Band performed well at state championships

The Antigo High School Marching Red Robins returned home from the state championships after a very successful season.

The band performed their 2015 show, “In a Mirror, Darkly” at the State Marching Band Championships at UW-Whitewater on Saturday, October 17. The group scored an all-time high score of 79.7, which was good enough for a 3rd place finish in Class AA out of 8 bands in that division, including Merrill, Sauk Prairie, and New Berlin High Schools.

“The band came into the state performance very focused and certainly had their best show of the season. It was astonishing to see how far this group of students progressed from when we first met back in mid-July to where they are now. After all the hours of work on the production, it is great for the students to see the results of their efforts,” Jeff Dewey, director of the band said.

More scores from other divisions are available at wsmamusic.org.
