Dr. Fuhrman Eat for Health Video Lecture Series October 21th 5-7pm Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for a 6 week video lecture series to learn how you can have renewed, incredible health. Learn what foods provide the highest concentration of nutrients & how we can protect our bodies from disease. This week’s topic is the Prescription for Healthy Bones & Muscles. Free admission. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser October 22nd 5-7pm Mattoon Elementary School, 507 Stone Ave., Mattoon. Tickets in advance: $5 each or 4 for $15 (available from Mattoon students). Tickets will be $6 at the door. Earnings will go toward the purchase of IPads and Chromebooks. Everyone is welcome!

Climate Changes’ Impact on Northwoods October 22nd 6:30pm – 8:00pm McGinley Room, Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont Street, Antigo. Professor Ankur Desai, an Associate Professor at the UW Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, will be coming for an evening program on the impact of climate change on the Northwoods. Prof. Desai has been studying how ecosystems respond to climate variability & how the climate responds to ecological patterns & processes for a number of years in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

“Pretty In Pink”: Nights of Art and Awareness October 23rd & 24th Fri. 5-8pm, Sat. 7-10pm WOWSPACE, 114 Vinal St. (downtown) Wittenberg. This show of Artful Bras is open to the public on October 23rd & is free. The show continues on October 24th with a women only night. For more information go to www.wallsofwittenberg.com.

Halloween Haunted House October 23rd, 24th, 30th & 31st 7-11pm at the old grocery store in Wittenberg, 100 W. Reed St. The cost is $6.00 or $5.00 with a donation of a non-perishable food item. Proceeds to benefit the Walls of Wittenberg.

Creepy Hollow Haunted Trail October 23rd & 24th 8-11pm N11818 Cedar Rd., Birnamwood. Tickets $5 or $4 with a canned food item.

2nd Annual Learn-to-Fish Muskies October 24th 9am Johnnie’s Resort, 6995 Potawatomi Trail Rd., Laona. This event is open to individuals 16 yrs. and up, with little or no musky fishing experience. The event will start with classroom lessons aimed toward musky identification, biology & fishing techniques. Then participants will hit the water with local fishing volunteers for a chance to catch a musky. Participants will be provided with all the necessary equipment, but must possess a valid WI fishing license. Dirty Dog Dryland Event October 24th-25th 9am Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Boy Scout Reservation, W6500 Spring Lake Road, Pearson. Come experience the excitement of sled dog racing on dry land at the Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Boy Scout Reservation! You will see teams with bikes, scooters, carts, & dogs partnered with running mushers. Spectators are encouraged to visit with drivers & smooze with their dogs at their trucks! Home cooked food service will be available at race site. Free admission & plenty of parking available. Oconto County Handicapped Citizens Halloween Party October 24th 11am Bill Lazansky Building, Hwy 32, Mountain. Sponsored by the McCaslin Lioness, this Halloween Party is a great time for the handicapped citizens of our county. Music, dancing, lunch and costume judging are some of the highlights! 5th Annual Boo Bash & Chili Cook-Off October 24th 7pm Crivello’s, 818 Main St., Oconto. Join us for a frightfully fun night! DJ & Karaoke music 8-Midnight, Raffles, Best Costume Contest, refreshments & chili! Admission is $10. Concordia University Wind Symphony October 24th 7:30pm Peace Lutheran Church, 300 Lincoln St., Antigo. The Wind Symphony is the premier instrumental ensemble at Concordia University, Chicago.
