WAUSAU — CoVantage Credit Union will host a ribbon cutting ceremony from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at their new, remodeled location at 110 South First Avenue.

CoVantage has completed an extensive redesign of the exterior and renovation of the interior of the former Associated Bank building at the corner of Stewart and South First Avenue. The renovation project started in May.

The remodeled building, which is located just south of CoVantage Credit Union’s existing First Avenue office, provides 21,000 square feet of operating space. The first and second floors were renovated, while the third floor has been reserved for future growth. Staff and equipment from the existing First Avenue branch will be relocated to the new building on November 9.

The newly renovated facility has six inside teller windows, a safe deposit box vault, four drive-up lanes, as well as a drive-up ATM for members. The branch offers a full line of consumer, mortgage, business loan and deposit services.

According to Brian Prunty, CEO of CoVantage Credit Union, “We are pleased to have this new location in Wausau which is large enough to support our growth for many years to come. It’s also exciting that we were able to revitalize an existing downtown structure. Investing in and being a part of the communities we serve is very important to our credit union. CoVantage’s board and staff look forward to growing our organization and offering the financial value our credit union is known for, to even more individuals and businesses in Marathon County.”

Miron Construction of Wausau performed construction management services, while Mudrovich Architects provided comprehensive architectural and engineering services for the project through construction.

CoVantage Credit Union, with headquarters in Antigo, has $1.2 billion in assets, serves 83,000 members, and employs 325 staff across all of their locations.  Founded in 1953, the financial cooperative serves members living or working in 18 counties in Wisconsin and two counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Drive-up hours at this new CoVantage Credit Union location are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.  Lobby hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
