Nancy Schnabel, 76
Nancy Schnabel, of Antigo, passed away Friday, February 12, 2016 at Mount View Care Center in Wausau. She was 76 years old. She was born on September 4, 1939 in Gallipolis, Ohio a daughter of the late Virgil and Maude (Long) Runyon. She married John Schnabel on October 12, 1963 at Lockbourne AFB, Ohio. He survives.
She moved to Antigo in 1970. Nancy worked in food service at Woolworth Lunch Counter, Country Kitchen, the Hoffman House and retired in 1997 from Langlade Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of Church of Christ in Aniwa and was a long time Sunday school teacher. She served on the original board of directors of AVAIL (Advocates of Victims of Domestic and Sexual Abuse in Langlade County).
Nancy loved to travel and read. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband survivors include a daughter, Annette (Ronald) Noskowiak of Antigo; two sons, Edward (Lynette) Schnabel of Three Lakes and Timothy Schnabel of Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Noskowiak, Ryan Noskowiak, David (Beth) Schnabel, Zackeri Drill, David (Raechel) Drill, Beatrice Ibes; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lynn Bostic and Judy (Jim) Bowman; three brothers, Virgil (Debbie) Runyon, Richard (Jessie) Runyon, Michael Runyon and a brother-in-law, Danny Stephens all of Ohio. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Charles; and a sister, Kay Stephens.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 2 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Ray Guenthner officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
