Robert F. Rood, 86, Eland, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at East View Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Antigo.
He was born on April 17, 1929 in Antigo, the son of the late Judson and Anna (Kalourner) Rood.
On February 4, 1950, Robert was united in marriage to Patricia Guolee in Birnamwood. She survives.
Robert worked as a machinist for the Milwaukee Railroad for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Rood, Eland; two daughters, Peggy (Alan) Buss, Iola and Patty Rood, Eland; nine grandchildren, Brian (Susan) Buss, Jason (Janet) Buss, Vincent (Jennifer) Buss, Jesse Rood, Terry Rood, Curt Jensen, Richard (Maggie) Jensen, Kristin Jensen and Robert (Deanna) Jensen and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one son, Robert Rood; one daughter, Cathleen Jensen; one great-grandson, Cory Jensen and one brother, Eugene Rood.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Amy Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of services at the funeral home.
