School Fun Day April 18th 8am Robinson Elementary School, 5216 Forest Ave., Laona. Parents are encouraged to bring their children who will be at least 3 or 4 years old by September 1st. Four sessions will be held: 8-9:30am, 9:30-11am, 12-1:30pm or 1:30-3pm. Choose the session that works best for you & plan to have your child spend about 45 minutes meeting new friends and seeing the classroom. 6th Annual Sustainability Fair Earth Day April 22nd Noon-6pm Newbold Town Hall, 4590 Hwy. 47, Rhinelander. This year’s theme is “Food for Thought… and Action.” The fair will emphasize local food production and consumption. From community supported agriculture to the backyard garden. The fair will feature exhibits & sales by sustainability-minded community businesses and service providers. Food will be available for sale and live music will be provided by area musicians in the late afternoon.

Dairyland Donkey Basketball April 22nd 7pm Bowler High School, Bowler. Game one will match Bowler FFA against Tigerton FFA, Game two will match Wittenberg FFA against Antigo FFA. Tickets are available at each participating high school. $6 in advance, $8 at the door. No video cameras.
Ice Age Trail Hike April 23rd 9am-3pm Langlade County Fairgrounds – County Forestry Office, 1633 Neva Road, Antigo. The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a thousand-mile footpath, entirely within Wisconsin, that highlights the Ice Age landscape features while providing access to some of the state’s most beautiful natural areas. We will hike a portion of the Ice age Trail in Langlade County. Interested hikers should meet in front of the Forestry Department office at the fairgrounds in Antigo at 9am. Participants are encouraged to wear suitable clothing & bring a lunch. Transportation to the trailhead will be provided from the fairgrounds. Town Hall Players Annual Variety Show April 23rd 1:30 & 7pm Townsend Town Hall, 16564 Elm St, Townsend. This year we are celebrating the Townsend centennial with songs & events from the last 100 years. Come and have some fun & enjoy being entertained by our local talent. We cannot reserve seats, so come early and enjoy refreshments. All proceeds go to the local food pantry.
