Springbrook Clean-Up May 2nd 10am-Noon Meet at the 4th Avenue Dam Trail Head (located off of 4th Avenue; behind the County Store and Lakeside Grocery & Pharmacy). Come join your community in an effort to clean-up the area surrounding Springbrook. A FREE lunch will be provided at approximately 12:00pm for all participants. We will provide gloves, trash bags, and a limited supply of trash pickers. Please dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Mud boots or waterproof boots are recommended. If you own a boat you may help by picking trash out of the lake basins (the boat may not have an engine which creates a wake). Registration is not required for this event. McCaslin Lioness Spring Fashion Show May 2nd 5pm Waubee Lodge, 18398 Waubee Park Lane., Lakewood. This event highlights the beautiful and fun fashions that can be found in the enchanted shops in Lakewood, including Northern Perks/Pickett Fences, Frame of Mind and Little Shoppe on the Hill. Healthy Living With Diabetes May 3rd 5-7:30pm Calvary Lutheran Church, 310 South Superior St., Antigo. This program is designed to help adults with Type II diabetes or pre-diabetes learn skills and increase their confidence in managing their diabetes. Healthy Living with Diabetes does not replace existing treatments, but rather complements the treatments a participant receives. Suggested Contribution is $10. Enrollment is limited. Annual Colors of Cancer 5K Run & Walk May 7th Registration 8am Crandon International Off-Road Raceway, 10104 US Hwy. 8, Crandon. The Colors of Cancer is an untimed event where participants will be showered with colored powder at six stations along the course. This event honors our friends & neighbors who struggle to cross the finish line in their daily battles with cancer. The event caters to families and 5K enthusiasts alike.
