Marvin Martin DeVries, 85
Marvin was born November 6, 1930 in Wascott, WI to the late John and Pearl (Hall) DeVries.
He was united in marriage to Donna Kirk on June 2, 1984.
Marvin worked in the Appleton area for Morning Glory Dairy. He then worked for the Teamsters Union Local #563. He later worked for Badger Highways as vice president of sales, retiring in 1993. After retirement he moved to White Lake.
He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Lake.
Marv loved to hunt, cut wood, snowmobile, and a sit on his front porch with his wife and friends. He was a member of Boulder Lake Snow Goers Snowmobile Club and served as the trail boss for 15 years.
Survivors in addition to his wife include 2 daughters, Deborah (Jeff) Luko of Florida and their children Nicole, Courtney, and Seth; Luann (Jim) Landers of Menasha and their daughter Stacy; 2 sons, Marvin, Jr. of Appleton and his children Jenifer and Kyle; Michael (Jodie) of Appleton and their children Joshua and Jordan; 2 step daughters, Luann (Keith) Kiesow of Town of Menasha and their children Kevin and Torri; Denise (Lance) Cornuet of Florida and her children Bradley and Jessica; 12 great grandchildren and a sister Helen (Victor) Warnke of Iowa.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by 2 brothers Emmett and Dale, 2 sisters Leone and Ines, and a nephew Emmet John DeVries.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in White Lake. Visitation will be Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marvin’s name may be directed to LeRoyer Hospice.
