AHS student receives diesel technician scholarship
For the Antigo Times
Select Wisconsin high school graduates and continuing education students will be recipients of technician scholarships through The Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile and Truck Dealers Association (WATDA) sponsored by local dealerships and other foundation partners. The recipients will use their award to fund their vehicle service education in automotive, diesel, or collision technology at the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified Wisconsin Technical College of their choice.
Among the recipients is Travis McCullough of Antigo. He will receive a $3,000 tuition scholarship to attend the diesel program at Fox Valley Technical College. In addition to the scholarship, McCullough will receive a tool set valued at $3,667 from Snap-On Corporation headquartered in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
To date, The Foundation has awarded over 1,700 scholarships. This program encourages young people to pursue a career in the auto and truck industry in Wisconsin.
