Clara A. Andraschko, 79

Clara A. Andraschko, a long time resident of Yuma, Arizona died Thursday March 9, 2017 at the Hospital in Yuma. She was 79 years old. Clara was born on June 23, 1937 in Phlox, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred (Welch) Marx She married Melvin J. Andraschko on June 22, 1964 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phlox, he survives.

Clara was a graduate of St. Joseph Grade School in Phlox, Antigo High School class of 1955, the Normal School in Antigo and received her Bachelors degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point.

Her motherly ways, deep faith, musical talent and education were well used in raising her four children; Lawrence Andraschko of Yuma Ariz., Jay Andraschko of Yuma Ariz., Kenneth (Amanda) Andraschko of Eagle River, Alaska and Dawn (Rosendo) Velarde, Yuma, Ariz.; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren will miss her.

In addition to her devoted husband and children survivors include six sisters, Joan (Frank) Waldvogel of Phlox, Angela Driscoll of Waukesha, Mary Jane (Bernie) Bessert of Aniwa, Katie (Doug) Klemp of Antigo, Theresa (Ed) Howard of Crandon and Veronica “Ronnie” (Sam) Mauk of Phlox; four brothers, Dr. George (Karen) Marx of Crookston, Minn., John (Rosemary) Marx of Antigo, Jerome (Vicky) Marx of Phlox and Robert (Louise) Marx of Phlox.

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She was a den mother, a teacher’s aid at St. Francis School in Yuma and took her children to visit the library as early as age 2. She dearly loved: family – with whom she remained close, being hospitable, love of nature and warm fresh air.
Clara was a woman of deep faith and prayer, and had a devotion to the Blessed Mother. Parting words when you had to leave, one might often hear, “May the Angels watch over you and protect you. I love you”

A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday March 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann and Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
