John B. Draeger, 94, Wittenberg, died on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Atrium Post-Acute Care, Weston.

He was born on April 20, 1923 in the town of Wittenberg, the son of the late Otto and Hilda (Buser) Draeger.  On November 21, 1959, John was united in marriage to Ardellis Fritz in Caroline.  She preceded him in death on December 8, 2000.

John farmed the family farm and then was a custodian for the Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School. He was also the custodian and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg.

He loved camping, being in the woods, and working on antique cars and machinery.  John especially enjoyed dancing to old time music.

Survivors include his son Peter Draeger, Wittenberg; siblings, LaVonne (the late Earl) Hanke and Sibby (the late Leonard) Long and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and other family and friends.

No services will be held.  Inurnment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
