For the Antigo Times

The Antigo Community Theatre is in its third year of organizing an “Amateur Antigo Talent Night” for Thursday, August 24th at City Park as part of the Music in the Park summer series. The show is sponsored by the Antigo Optimists.

Tryouts for the event were held the first week in August at the Volm Theater and many talented, local people came out to share their gifts of playing instruments, singing and dance fully, prepared to showcase. The participants cover a large range of ages bringing different genres of music to perform from a wide variety of artists. The best way to find out who is performing and what tunes they are singing and many more acts is to come out for an evening of fantastic “Lively Arts” made possible by your friends and neighbors.

Michael Blood, long time Artistic Director of AHS musicals will be the MC for the evening’s festivities and Cory Koeppel with Northwoods Karaoke & DJ will accommodate the performers with their soundtracks and offer toe tapping tunes for the crowd to enjoy

The “Amateur Antigo Talent Night” will be one of the final performances for the summer concert series of Music in the Park.  Starting at 5:30PM, the Antigo Optimists will have their famous cheese curds, pie and ice cream  for dessert. All together it will be a celebration of the “Lively Arts and the winding down of summer.
