Rhonda Melichar, 66
Rhonda Melichar,of Antigo, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was 66 years old. She was born on May 28, 1951 in Hustisford, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Herbert and Melva (Kuehl) Vlach. She married Charles Melichar on June 27, 1981 in Port Washington.
Rhonda moved to Antigo in 1986. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards and Yatzee with her friend, Penny Powell. She also enjoyed cleaning and dancing. She will be remembered as a strong and caring woman.
In addition to her husband survivors include three daughters, Charlene (Ponsi) Toribio of Antigo, Gidget Melichar (John Meade) of Antigo and Trista Melichar of Wausau; five grandchildren, Merissa, Chelsea and Arianna Melichar, Alicia Melichar and KeAra Bryant; four sisters, Renette (Rodney) Blumenberg, Roxanne Vlach, Roberta Diels and Rochelle Schmidt; and five brothers, Ralph Vlach, Richard Vlach, Royce Vlach, Rodell Vlach, Rodney Vlach. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Vlach; a brother, Reed Vlach; and a nephew, Tyler Blumenberg.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Jedras officiating. Burial will take place in Town of Polar Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
