Kenton Lee Kramer, 68
Kenton Lee Kramer, age 68, of Antigo, died Thursday, October, 12 at the VA Medical Center-Iron Mountain.
Kenton was born on November 2, 1948 in Antigo to the late Clayton and Doris (Smith) Kramer.
He graduated from Antigo High School in 1967. On October 21, 1967 he was united in marriage to Susan Marie Krajewski in Antigo. She survives and resides in Antigo.
Kenton served in the US Army from October of 1967 until October of 1970, serving in Vietnam from February of 1969 until March of 1970.
He then worked as a bookkeeper for Antigo Electric and Gas.
Kenton was a talented musician. Beginning in his early teens he played in various bands, including, Forty Day Flood, Langlade, Stop and Go, Waterworks, and The Black Forest Band.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Shari (Jeff) Kramer of Bonduel, grandchildren, Holly (Ian)Thomas of Green Bay, Anthony (Joelle) Tucker of Gillet, great grandchildren, Ryan and Kenton Tucker, a sister, Elaine “Kay” Kramer of Antigo, brothers, David (Dawn) of Antigo, Jeff of Sparta, Patrick of Antigo, and Barry of Antigo.
Kenton was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenton “Kenny” Lee Kramer II, and a brother Rodney Kramer.
A gathering and celebration of Kenton’s life will be held on Sunday, October 15 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home. During the visitation Kenton will be honored by the Patriot Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kenton’s name may be directed to the Langlade County Humane Society.
