Antigo Vision Clinic under New Ownership

FOR THE ANTIGO TIMES

(Antigo, Wisc.) – A local optometry practice is under new ownership and is getting a new name. Dr. Richard Kjome retired in September 2020 and sold Antigo Vision Clinic to Midline Vision, owned by Dr. Jeremy Goetsch. The practice is open for business, and will soon change its name to Pearle Vision.

“Dr. Kjome was an excellent resource in town for non-surgical eye care needs, and Dr. Goetsch is continuing with that focus,” says Pat Huska, who has continued on as the store manager. “We still have high-tech diagnostic equipment and a great selection of frames, and look forward to continuing to serve patients in and around Antigo under the Pearle Vision name.”

Pearle Vision is a national eye care brand with many of its locations owned and operated by local franchisees, as is the case in Antigo. Dr. Goetsch and his group also own two other Pearle Vision locations – one in Mosinee, and another just outside of Madison.

“My wife and I opened our first Pearle Vision in 2011 when we lived in Madison,” says Dr. Goetsch. “We both grew up in the Wausau area and moved back in 2015 to be closer to family. We are very proud to be a locally owned practice with the support and name-recognition of the Pearle Vision brand.”

The practice accepts most medical insurance plans, and many popular vision plans including NVA, Superior Vision, and EyeMed.

Dr. Goetsch has been practicing optometry in Wisconsin since 2009. He and his wife, Kati, have three young children (including twins) and two energetic dogs. He enjoys spending time with them by playing outside, biking, hunting, and fishing.

“I grew up in a rural area north of Wausau, and Kati and I really enjoy living in northcentral Wisconsin and raising our kids here,” continues Dr. Goetsch. “We look forward to serving patients’ eye care needs in Antigo for many years to come.”

Even with a new name and owner, the practice’s focus on patients will stay the same. “As a Pearle Vision location, we are still locally owned and committed to being your neighborhood eye care center,” adds Dr. Goetsch. “Plus, we have a wonderful staff and the same personal service you’ve enjoyed over the years.”

Call 715-623-2180 to schedule an eye exam with Dr. Goetsch, and visit midlinevision.com to learn more about the practice group.
