Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney, in conjunction with the Wisconsin State Patrol, will hold a news conference on Thursday, July 23 at 5:30 to announce the District Attorney’s findings of the investigation into the shooting death of Trooper Trevor Casper. Trooper Casper was fatally wounded in an exchange of gunfire with armed robbery suspect Steven Snyder, who also was killed, on March 24, 2015, in Fond du Lac.

The District Attorney’s final report from the investigation and a statement from Trooper Casper’s family will be released at the news conference. District Attorney Toney, Captain Burrell and Colonel Rahn will be available for questions related to the shooting. Any questions related to the various bank robberies attributed to Steven Snyder should be referred to the appropriate officials within those jurisdictions.
