Antigo Police Reports for 12/21/15
Monday, December 14th
9:51 AM Officers received a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting a stolen money order, taken from her purse on December 9th. Female was called by local bank today advising her that the money order has been cashed. Officers are investigating.
Sunday, December 13th
8:53 AM Officers received a call from a female in Apache Junction, Arizona reporting that she was expecting a check from an area bank. When it arrived, there were obvious signs of tampering with the envelope. Inside was only a receipt, no check. The female made a police report with her local police department. They viewed the envelope and told her to report the situation to the Antigo police department. Officers will follow up.
4:13 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Division Street. Male is arrested for operating while intoxicated. 1st offense.
3:27 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Virginia Street. Male is issued a citation for operating without a license.
12:12 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Western Street. Female is issued a citation for no proof of insurance.
Saturday, December 12th
10:24 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Edison Street and 5th Avenue. Female is issued a citation for operating after suspension.
7:04 AM Officers responded to a call from an area gas station on Superior Street. They reported that a blue car has been parked and running in their parking lot for the past 45 minutes and there appears to be someone sleeping in the car. Officers check out the situation. Subject will be sleeping for a while before leaving.
Friday, December 11th
4:44 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on 6th Avenue, requesting extra patrols around her neighborhood. Female saw male walk by about 20 minutes earlier that they believe is the male that was peeking in their windows.
4:13 PM Officers received a call from the owner of an area restaurant reporting that a male customer is repeatedly calling and yelling at the employees. Customer has not threatened the owner or the employees, but he has made a complaint on the restaurant’s corporate site. Officers told the owner that if the customer keeps calling or threatens them in any way, to call the police department.
4:01 PM Officers responded to a call from a female in the parking lot of a business on Neva Road. Female found a bag of needles and a scale with batteries. Items were collected and logged into evidence for destruction.
7:53 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Neva Road. Female stated that when she let her dogs out at 5 AM, she noticed a black and white jacket between the trailer and the garage. When she left for work at 7:15 AM, the jacket was gone and her driver’s side door was wide open. There does not appear to be anything missing from the vehicle. Officer’s checked the area. Everything appears to be ok.
Thursday, December 10th
11:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on S. Hudson Street reporting that a male subject was just outside by his vehicles. When male caller opened the front door, the male subject took off. He was last seen running towards 10th Avenue. Officers received a description of the male, and checked the area. They were unable to locate him. Later that evening, a subject matching male’s description was arrested on a Marathon County warrant near 9th Avenue and Superior Street.
8:00 PM Officers received a call from a female on 6th Avenue reporting that someone has been peeking in the windows. Female said that it has been happening for the last couple of nights.
2:27 PM Officers responded to a call from a male attending area technical school. Male stated that someone has been writing things on his car. “Stop parking here” was written in the dirt on the driver’s side of male’s car. Male parks his car in the same spot every time. Officers checked camera footage. School will talk with teachers and staff. Male will call if he finds anything.
1:12 PM A female subject reported at the Safety Building that a female is missing from West Allis, WI. Female was there with her mother and disappeared. Reporting female is missing female’s legal guardian. She wants female brought back to Antigo if she is found. Teletype sent to West Allis police department.
12:42 PM Officers received a call from an officer of the Rhinelander police department. Rhinelander officer requested that officers make contact with an area female about her vehicle being parked at Rhinelander business for a week with the windows open. Officers contacted female who said that she loaned her vehicle to a male who got arrested. Officers advised Rhinelander police department.
8:28 AM Officers responded to a report of red/white capsules lying just outside the west courthouse doors. Officer photographed capsules. Several were smashed & broken. Ten capsules were collected. They were identified as Lyrica. Items were placed into evidence. Officers also received a call from a courthouse employee at 10:16 AM. She stated that when she came to work before 8:00 AM, she noticed the capsules and threw three of them in the garbage. These appear to be the same type of pills located on a subject when brought to jail.
Wednesday, December 9th
9:28 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade hospital. A female patient was discharged to go home with her husband. However, the female left on foot and can’t be located. Security is reviewing cameras to see which way she left. Officers later locate female at home. She is fine.
6:57 AM Officers responded to a call from an area gas station on Neva Road reporting that a vehicle is parked in their fire lane. Vehicle was removed.
Tuesday, December 8th
5:53 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Superior Street reporting that someone just tried to enter the house, while they were there. They heard the door open. Female’s son told her that this also happened about a month ago. Officers are investigating.
1:54 PM Officers received a call about a suspicious person/activity at the public library on December 7th at approximately 4:30 PM.
Monday, December 7th
11:44 AM Officers received a call from an employee of an area car dealership. They were contacted by an officer in Milwaukee regarding a truck plate that has been involved in some thefts of a business in their jurisdiction. The plate has been missing since 2013. The employee was advised to make sure that the plate is cancelled with the Department of Motor Vehicles also.
7:51 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in front of an area restaurant on 5th Avenue. Property damage only. The driver of one vehicle was cited.
2:47 AM Officers received a 911 call from a male on County Rd. C reporting that another male is threatening to harm himself. Male subject lives at an area hotel, but caller is unsure which room. Officers check various rooms at the hotel, but are unable to locate subject. Everyone contacted was asked to have subject speak with officers when they see him.
