Antigo Police Reports for 12/7/15
Monday, November 30th
1:33 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlick Street. The female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and operating while suspended, 2nd offense. A male was arrested for possession of THC and paraphernalia; a second male was arrested for theft.
Sunday, November 29th
8:38 PM Officers responded to a report of theft on Dorr Street. A female reported that a male had stayed with her and then some electronics, cash and her apartment key were taken from her apartment. Female suspects this male and another female took the items. Officers will be following up by locating the male suspect.
3:39 PM Officers received a report of damage to a vehicle while parked on Clermont Street. The vehicle owner’s girlfriend said that a tire on the vehicle was slashed. They noticed that the tire was flat on 11/27, but found 3 slash marks on the tire today. There are no suspects.
1:45 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The male driver was issued citations for driving 80mph in a 25mph zone and no proof of insurance.
Saturday, November 28th
9:53 PM Officers respond to a call from a female on 3rd Avenue reporting that someone either shot at their house with a BB gun again or knocked on the door. The male resident saw a dark colored Chevy Sonic leaving. Officers found the vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The subjects admitted to knocking on the door and running. They stated that they were playing a prank on a classmate. The subject’s vehicle was searched. No BB gun was found. They denied ever shooting a BB gun at the house.
12:03 PM Officers responded to a report of three people out on Antigo Lake, right next to open water. Officers found two adults and one minor, who claimed that there was 2 ½ inches of ice and it is safe to be there.
1:54 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Pine Street. Preliminary breath test was given, 0.00 blood alcohol. Officers were given consent to search car, nothing illegal found. The male driver was given a 5-day correction notice for an expired registration. Information was forwarded to probation and parole.
1:00 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The male driver was issue a citation for no proof of insurance.
Friday, November 27th
4:08 PM Officers identified a male subject shoplifting on the camera of an area retail business. The officer will be referring him for retail theft and felony bail jumping once the business has their report done.
12:31 PM Officers responded to a call of a suspicious item at an area business. A male employee of the business found a folded piece of paper in the lobby. When he picked up the paper, it opened up and a large amount of white powder spilled out. The business will check their cameras. Preliminary tests show that powder may be Mephedrone (bath salts).
2:10 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and 6th Avenue. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 4th offense. The male passenger was arrested on multiple counts – possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Thursday, November 26th
10:24 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on 3rd Avenue that her front window was shot by a BB gun. Female noticed that a black Pontiac G6 and a silver Audi had been driving in the neighborhood several times in the past. The female stated that she was inside her home when they heard a bang. They noticed that there was a hole in the first window pane and a gold BB between the two panes. A half-eaten sandwich was also found on the steps.
9:27 PM Officers responded to a request for a welfare check on male on Neva Road on the suspicion of illegal drug use. No physical evidence was found of drug use, but four people were arrested on probation holds.
12:46 PM Resident on 4th Avenue reported the theft of a Senco grey and black air compressor from their front porch. They believe it would have happened yesterday or last night. There are no suspects.
2:46 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont and Pierce streets. A male was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.
Wednesday, November 25th
11:21 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 8th Avenue and Superior Street. A male was issued a citation for unnecessary and imprudent speed.
1:55 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 6th Avenue and Field Street. A female was issued a citation for operating without a valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance and suspended registration.
1:18 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Dorr Street. The vehicle did not have headlights on and did not stop for two blocks. The male driver stated that he just wanted to get home.
Tuesday, November 24th
11:16 PM A male stopped at the Safety Building to report a burglary at his home on 3rd Avenue. The male said he noticed that his kitchen had been gone through while he was sleeping and the door was wide open. He was missing some medication and tobacco. He said he thinks that he may know who took the items.
9:48 PM Officers responded to a call of a fight between two males at an area bar. An altercation started after someone unplugged the jukebox, a pushing matched ensued and then punches were thrown. Both parties were told to leave the bar for the night.
3:42 PM Officers received a report of a woman in her mid-40s with long blonde hair attempting to enter another female’s vehicle at an area gas station. The female’s purse was on the front seat and her minor child was in the back seat. She believes the blonde female was attempting to steal her purse. The blonde female had a blue van that then left westbound on 7th Avenue. The van was later found parked on 7th Avenue.
7:30 AM Officers responded to a call of a SUV driving northbound on Superior Street near 2nd Avenue that was all over the road because the windows were completely frosted over and the driver was hanging out the driver’s side window to see. The vehicle then turned eastbound on North Avenue from Neva Road. The area was checked, officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
