The Langlade County Retired Educators Association, LCREA, will award scholarships to college students who intend to complete a bachelor’s degree in education.

Applicants must have the first and second year of college work completed and must be accepted into the third or fourth year of study at a recognized college of education. The intent of this scholarship is to reward and encourage students to continue their college education in the teaching profession.

Applicants must be a resident of or live in the proximity of Langlade County. They must include an official current transcript of college credits earned and a letter confirming their acceptance into the college of education.

The amount and number of scholarships varies on a year-to-year basis. Selection will be determined by the LCREA Scholarship Committee. The award will be presented prior to the fall semester of 2016.

Completed applications are due by March 1, 2016, and they can be obtained by emailing [email protected]. High school students should not apply.
