Antigo Police Reports 1/11/16
Monday, January 4th
2:05 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Sunset Drive. Male driver was given a written warning for speed.
7:25 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow drifts in the lane of traffic on Western Avenue between 5th Avenue and 10th Avenue. Vehicle was unoccupied. Towing company was notified to tow vehicle. Officers attempted to locate driver.
5:38 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Clermont Streets. Male driver was issued a citation for a stop sign violation.
5:32 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 2nd Avenue. Female driver was issued a citation for violation of restrictions and warned for speed.
5:17 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Clermont Street. Male driver was issued citations for operating without a valid driver’s license and an expired registration.
Sunday, January 3rd
2:44 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Cedar Street. Male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Saturday, January 2nd
4:03 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at the fairgrounds on Neva Road. Female driver was cited for speed.
2:17 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. Female driver was issued a citation for speed.
2:02 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Century Avenue. Female driver was issued a citation for operating while suspended, 6th offense.
10:42 AM Officers received a call from an area gas station on Superior Street reporting a gas drive off that occurred about 30 minutes earlier. Approximately $23 was taken. Were unable to get a vehicle description. Attendant thought she may know suspect.
5:57 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Dorr Street. Female driver was given a 10 day written warning for an expired registration.
Friday, January 1st
4:01 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a white truck was in a ditch across from an area business on Hwy. 45. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.
3:08 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Graham Street. Female was transported for standardized field sobriety test. Male was arrested for possession of marijuana and a warrant out of the Shawano County Sheriff’s office.
2:19 AM Officers responded to a report of a female wearing all black walking down Langlade Road, trying to flag down vehicles. Female was issued a citation for underage drinking.
2:08 AM Officers pursued suspect vehicle not stopping that started heading east on 10th Avenue. Chase was terminated by Highway D. Teletype was sent to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department asking that one of their officers contact the registered owner of the vehicle to see who may have been driving. Officers received name of suspect. More follow up to come.
Thursday, December 31st
10:12 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Watson Street and 5th Avenue. Male driver was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign.
9:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 1st Avenue. Female driver was issued a citation for speed.
7:50PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Deleglise Street. Female driver was issued a citation for an expired registration.
6:32 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Clermont Street reporting that a snowmobiler is driving through the yard and running over trees. Officers followed some tracks but couldn’t say if they were the ones that did the damage. Officers did stop at a residence on Smith Avenue and talk to the male resident. Male stated that he would talk to his children about riding in the neighborhood fields.
12:09 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Graham Avenue reporting a green mini-van in the alley alongside his house. Vehicle was unoccupied. Officers called vehicle owner, but were only able to leave a message. Officers received another call from homeowner at 6:42 AM saying the van as still in the alley. Towing company was notified to tow van. Company was advised not to release the van until the vehicle owner contacted law enforcement.
Wednesday, December 30th
7:11 PM Officers received a call from a female on Dorr Street reporting that a female came to her residence and had her sign some type of paperwork.
Tuesday, December 29th
7:08 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a truck and trailer were driving southbound on Hwy. 45 without lights on the trailer. Caller reported that the truck turned into an area gas station. Officers located driver and advised them of the complaint. Driver said that they would try to get the lights working or drive with their hazard lights on.
12:05 PM Officers gave a warning to a male for pushing snow onto Hwy. 45 with an ATV and blocking the outside lane.
Monday, December 28th
10:48 PM Officers received a 911 call from a deactivated cell phone. A small child was on the phone stating that someone did drugs. Officers tried to get names and location, but the call was lost. Officers are investigating.
6:49 PM Officers responded to call from a male reporting that a semi was driving north on Hwy. 45, just past 3rd Avenue with no tail lights. Officers traveled to the city limits, but were unable to locate semi.
6:44 PM Officers received a call to report that a black Chevy pickup heading south on Hwy. 45 with no headlights on. Information was given to all squads.
11:37 AM Officers responded to a call from an area banking institution on 6th Avenue that they received a counterfeit $100 bill in a deposit. Deposit was made by an area business that day. Business was not sure when the $100 bill was taken in, or by whom. Bill was given to officers for further investigation.
9:53 AM Officers received a report from a male on Freiburger Avenue that sometime between hunting season and last week, someone entered his truck parked in his back yard and stole his Stealthcam reader/view, a pair of camo Rocky boots and a black hunting knife. The items had a total value of about $340. There are no suspects.
