2016 Northwoods Women in Business Awards announced
To celebrate National Business Women’s Week (October 17th to the 21st), Antigo businesswomen along with many others from across the country were recognized for their hard work and determination. The National Business Women’s Week provides an opportunity to call attention to women entrepreneurs, share information about successful workplace policies, and raise awareness of the resources available for working women in their communities.
The Antigo Times encouraged voters to take to Facebook to vote for their favorite local business women. By liking the business woman of their choice, the community had a chance to recognize women in our community that have worked hard for their reputations as standout businesses.
First place went to Yvette Sharee of Yvette Sharee’s Hollywood Hair Studio, second place to Laura Solin of Pampered Paws Pet Grooming, and third place to Linda Ojutkangas, Chrissy Davis, and Ashley Neitzel of Security Finance. These women received a commemorative certificate for their dedicated business pursuits in the Antigo area along with a bottle of wine and wine tote embroidered with the Antigo Times logo.
Also worthy of recognition are our honorable mentions from 2016: Gianna Losser of Mosaic Massage and Reflexology, Katie Jackson and Stefanie Tatro of Tangles Hair Studio, Jo Ahlers of Nails by Jo, and Gina Zahurones of Buck’s Pizza. Thank you to all of the participants in the contest and all area women’s businesses that work hard to provide services to the Antigo community.
