Annual Optimist Christmas Tree Burn January 23rd 5-7pm Antigo High School, 1900 10th Avenue, Antigo. The Annual Optimist Christmas Tree Burn will be held at the Antigo High School Detention Pond Area south of the parking lot by Listle Field. An Evening With Dave Drivas and Friends January 24th 7:30pm Nicolet College Theatre, 5355 College Dr., Rhinelander. Slow down for an evening that will remind you of the simple joys in life. A local singer and acoustic guitar player, Dave will share the stage with other area artists including Mark Wayne, Charlie Strong, and Mitch and Dan Cable to play a variety of country, rock, and bluegrass music. Immunization Clinic January 25th 9am-4pm Langlade County Health Department, 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo. The immunization clinic is available to provide childhood immunizations & adult vaccinations. The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months – 18 years of age if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. Play & Learn January 26th 9:30-11am N4013 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents and children to do together. The activity will build skills for school readiness and milestone achievement. Quarterly Ages and Stages questionnaires are made available to parents and caregivers to assist families in helping their children to reach age based development milestones. Women on Snow Weekend & Tour January 27th-29th Eagle River Area Trails, Eagle River. Women meet new & old friends and ride the snowmobile trails of Vilas County. The special weekend is based out of historic Eagle Waters Resort. Trail rides begin mid-afternoon on Friday & end on Sunday at noon. Winterfest Cardboard Sled Race January 28th 11am-1pm Lion’s Park, 210 W. 3rd St., Merrill. The Merrill Optimist Club will be holding their Annual Cardboard Sled Race. Design and build a person powered, corrugated cardboard sled capable of withstanding the descent down the Lion’s Hill slope. How creative can you be using only corrugated cardboard as a building material? Prizes awarded as soon as races are completed at the bottom of the hill. 1st Annual Sokaogon Chippewa Ice Fishing Jamboree January 29th Oak Lake, Crandon. Registration opens and fishing begins at 6am, until 4pm. There will be food, beverages, restrooms, a warming tent and raffles throughout the day. Limited to the first 100 fishermen. Northern Pike only.
Paul Bunyan Riders Snow Fun Day January 29th 1-8pm Waubee Lake Lodge, 18396 Waubee Park Lane, Lakewood. Join us for a Super Fun Day!
