Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for the 7/30 issue

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, July 16th

4:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Kelly Street reporting that her kids had gone for a walk that day and found a small baggie, of what she believed was drugs, near a blue building by Remington Lake. The female requested that officers pick up the bag. Officers turned the item over for K-9 training.

Tuesday, July 17th

4:05 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a trailer full of hay that he was hauling with his Dodge Ram truck had tipped over at the corner of Flight Road and Langlade Road. The caller told officers that he did not need a tow, but the trailer was partially blocking Flight Road. The officers discovered that the trailer had fallen apart.

10:15 PM Officers were at a residence on Lincoln Street on a warrant attempt. A male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.

Wednesday, July 18th

9:56 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that a U-Haul truck had left without paying for $63.75 in fuel. The caller told officers that they had left southbound on Superior Street. They gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers were able to determine the driver of the U-Haul truck. They spoke with the male subject at a residence on Mendlik Avenue. The male subject told officers that he would go back to the business and pay for the fuel.

4:42 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection Hwy. 64 and Hwy. 45. EMTs were at the scene. One male party was reporting back pain. Both vehicles were towed.

Thursday, July 19th

8:38 AM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that he had lost a blue leather money bag with “Petty” in black letters printed on the front of the bag. The caller told officers that he thought there had been $1,400 in the bag. He believed that he lost it in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64 on 7/18/18 around 6:00 PM. Officers were advised.

6:23 PM Officers responded to an anonymous caller reporting that a wanted male subject had been on the front porch of a residence on North Avenue around 6:00 PM. Officers arrested the male subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

Friday, July 20th

11:20 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Neva Road and Amron Avenue. At the time of the call, both vehicles were located in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road.

8:09 PM Officers stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Lincoln Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 6th offense, operating after revocation and failure to install an ignition interlock device.

9:55 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Watson Street. A female subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant and she was referred for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. A male subject was arrested on a probation hold and was referred for possession of meth, delivery of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping.

11:51 PM Officers responded to an anonymous tip of underage drinking at a residence on Deleglise Street. Two male subjects were cited for underage alcohol.

Saturday, July 21st

7:29 PM Officers responded to a report of retail theft at an area business on Hwy. 64. A male subject had walked out the business with a computer. The male subject was identified and was arrested for retail theft.

Sunday, July 22nd

1:22 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a two vehicle accident at the corner of Hwy. 45 and Hwy. 64. Officers then received another call from a passenger of one of the vehicles. There was only minor damage.

9:02 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. The male driver was cited for speed. A male passenger was cited for open intoxicants. A second male passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana. He was transported to Corrections.

10:56 PM Officers responded to a call from a male employee of an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that a male subject had just walked out of the business with a stolen television and left in a black Ford Explorer. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers stopped the vehicle at Neva Road and Willard Avenue. The male driver was arrested for retail theft and was transported to Corrections.

 

 

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Thursday, July 19th

 4:22 AM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a one vehicle accident on Hwy. 55. The caller told officers that the vehicle was in the ditch with one male occupant who was semi-conscious. The male driver refused transport by EMS. He was cited for inattentive driving. The vehicle was towed.

9:42 PM Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting a one vehicle accident on Walleye Road, south of Our Drive. The caller reported that there was one male party in the vehicle, possibly deceased. The male driver was deceased upon officer’s arrival. The vehicle was towed and the family was notified.

Friday, July 20th

10:15 AM Officers responded to a call from a female employee of an area business on Hwy. 45 requesting an officer’s assistance in reviewing  a video recording of a retail theft that occurred the night before around 7:33 PM. A male subject was identified and arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and retail theft charges.

8:27 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a vehicle crashed in a field southeast of S. Rollwood Road and Hwy. 47. The caller told officers that the vehicle did not roll over and the female driver was out and walking around. The vehicle hit a sign and three trees. The driver told officers that she had swerved to miss three deer. She had slight bruises on her neck and wrist. She did not want any medical attention.

Saturday, July 21st

3:02 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that while working EMS at the MC Festival Grounds on Cty. Rd. H, two male subjects started a fight with each other which security broke up. In the process of breaking up the fight, several EMTs and security personnel were assaulted. All denied needing medical attention. One male subject was detained. Officers arrested the male subject on a probation hold.

9:01 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Cty. Rd. S and Shortcut Road. The male driver was cited for speed, operating after suspension, operating without insurance and open intoxicants. One male passenger was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.

Tuesday, July 24th

6:55 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a white Acura passed in a no passing zone on Hwy. 64, near Hwy. 55, and then continued westbound on Hwy. 64 at over 100 MPH. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers talked with the male subject. He claimed that he had legally passed a vehicle which sped up, the driver “flipped him off” and then tailgated him until N. Langlade Road. The male was only advised of the complaint from the caller, as no deputies observed any violations.
