ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, December 21st
Officers responded to a report of an accident in the 900 block of Hogan Street. A grey vehicle had struck a fire hydrant. The driver was out of the vehicle and walking around. A mailbox was damaged.
Tuesday, December 22nd
Officers responded to a report of vehicle that struck a bridge on Aurora Street. The driver of the vehicle was ok. Car parts were lying around. The vehicle was towed.
Officers responded to a report of assault and battery at an address on Superior Street.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on 7th Avenue.
Wednesday, December 23rd
Officers responded to a report of an accident at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. One vehicle had a trailer that struck a pole. The pole was in the roadway. No EMS was needed. The Department of Public Works was notified about the pole.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting an intoxicated subject that had been in the business and then left out the back driveway. The caller told officers that the subject had smelled of alcohol and appeared intoxicated. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
Officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries at 7th Avenue and Clermont Street. A vehicle had struck a subject and the person was stuck under the vehicle. Clermont Street was shut down between 6th and 8th Street and 7th Avenue was shut down between Superior Street and Edison Street. The injured subject was airlifted to the hospital.
Officers responded to a report of a retail theft in progress at an area business on Hwy. 64. A subject was taken into custody.
Thursday, December 24th
Officers responded to a call from a subject on North Avenue reporting that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers were able to follow the vehicle tracks in the snow for a while. They were unable to continue once they got to where the wind had blown the snow off of the road. The vehicle was entered into the system as stolen. The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department was able to stop the vehicle in Wittenberg.
Friday, December 25th
Officers received a call from a female at an address on 4th Avenue reporting that her storage area in the basement of the apartment building had been broken into sometime the day before. She told officers that she did not know if anything was stolen.
Saturday, December 26th
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Neva Road. There were no injuries.
Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that her husband’s truck had been rear-ended at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street.
Officers responded to a fire call at an address on N. Langlade Road. There was smoke in the basement. The fire department was on the scene. It smelled of smoke in the basement, but there were no flames. It appeared to be an issue with the fuse box.
Sunday, December 27th
Officers stopped a vehicle on 5th Avenue. A subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Monday, December 28th
Officers assisted with an EMS call at an address on Milton Street. A subject got their arm stuck in some sort of spring for a garage door.
Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting a break in at a house on Clermont Street. The caller told officers that sometime within the last two weeks the front door had been damaged on a foreclosed home. The caller was not sure if anything had been stolen. They asked for assistance from officers as they did not feel comfortable entering the house.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting identity theft or fraud. The caller told officers that a subject had attempted to use fraudulent checks over the weekend. They had copies of the fraudulent checks and video was available.
A subject came to the Safety Building to report that someone had filed for unemployment under their name.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT
Monday, December 21st
A female came to the Safety Building to report that she felt that a male subject was stalking her. She told officers that he had been sitting outside of her house and followed her into town. She also said that the male had been waving at her when she has seen him. He had also followed her into town that day. Officers talked to the male subject who told them that he was in the area working, denied being by the female’s residence or intentionally following anyone.
Officers responded to a report of a road blockage at Hwy. 45 and Birch Road. Some items had fallen off of a trailer. It was unknown if the driver of the trailer realized that items had fallen off the trailer. When officers arrived, the Highway Department was removing some engine parts from the roadway.
Officers received a call from a male reporting suspicious activity at his cabin on Hickory Road. The caller told officers that on Friday, December 18th a vehicle pulled up to the garage at about 10:00PM. He told officers that he thought that the occupant of the vehicle may have been watching a subject who lived across the road. That lasted about an hour, with the vehicle repositioned facing the neighbor’s house. Then the vehicle pulled down Hickory Road and parked between the caller’s property and the neighbor’s house for about 30 minutes. The vehicle lights were always off and the vehicle could only be seen because of brake usage. The male told officers that he did not believe that the driver entered any of his buildings. He requested officer surveillance of the area.
Officers assisted with a fire call at an address on Hwy. 64. The caller told officers that there was a smell of smoke in the house and the furnace room was very hot, but there was no visible smoke or flames.
Tuesday, December 22nd
Officers responded to a report of an accident on Crestwood Road, south of Cty. Rd. AA. A male driver had rolled his pickup. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.
Officers received a call from a female reporting a break-in at her home on Sunset Road. The caller told officers that the break-in occurred sometime between December 1st and December 22nd. She told officers that she had someone keeping an eye on the residence. They had told her that some windows had been broken and the door had been opened with a knife.
Friday, December 25th
Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting a possible structure fire at an address on Trout Road. Multiple fire departments responded. The fire was put out and a fire investigation was conducted.
Officers responded to an anonymous call reporting that a female subject was seen on social media drinking alcohol at an area business on Hwy. 45 and she is underage. The female subject was cited and the owner and employees of the business were warned about serving alcohol to underage subjects.
Monday, December 28th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Stevens Springs Road. The male driver fled. Officers requested assistance from the Forest County Sheriff’s Department. Officers located the subject and he was taken into custody on a Department of Corrections warrant.
Officers were at a residence on Cty. Rd. T. A subject was referred for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (felony 2nd offense), possession of an illegally obtained prescription, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were also given citations pertaining to shelter and food/water for a canine inside the home.
Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting an accident at Cty. Rd. A and Claire Road. The caller told officers that a maroon van was in the ditch. The caller had stopped and talked to the elderly male driver who said he had no injuries. The driver told officers that he was going southbound on Cty. Rd. A at 40 MPH when he suddenly lost control. Officers determined that a tire may have come off the vehicle before entering the ditch. The vehicle was towed.
