ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Tuesday, July 30th
Officers took a subject into custody on a probation hold at the Probation and Parole office.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at Langlade Hospital.
Wednesday, July 31st
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male subject that was hanging out at City Park watching the kids. The caller told officers that the male was making the children uncomfortable. Officers spoke with the male subject. No violations were issued.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue. Officers conducted a standard field sobriety test. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. They were also cited for displaying false registration and given a warning for having no insurance.
Thursday, August 1st
Officers took a subject into custody on a probation hold at the Probation and Parole office.
Officers responded to a call from a male reporting the theft of a package from his residence on 5th Avenue. The caller told officers that he had received an email confirmation from FedEx that his package had been delivered to his apartment building, but it was not there when he returned home. The caller told officers that he believed that another resident took the package between 10:30am and 1:15pm that day. The value of the package stolen was approximately $42.
Officers responded to a report of a van swerving in and out of traffic. The caller told officers that the vehicle had crossed 5th Avenue, going northbound and had almost hit a parked car on Field Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Neva Road.
Officers arrested a subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant and a Shawano County Sherriff’s Office warrant at 5th Avenue and Dorr Street.
Friday, August 2nd
Officers executed a warrant attempt at a residence on N. Superior Street. A subject was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a 13 year old male subject detained for stealing a pair of shoes.
Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she hit a pole in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64.
Officers were out with a vehicle at Saratoga Park. The passenger of the vehicle had a Taser and had tried to tase some kids. The two subjects were detained and taken to the Safety Building.
Officers assisted with an EMS call for a male subject that had slipped on a rock and hit his head at the Hudson Street Bridge. The male had extensive bleeding from his head.
Saturday, August 3rd
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at an area business on Edison Street. After searching, officers found the subjects behind another area business on 5th Avenue. One subject was taken into custody. A second subject was taken to Langlade Hospital for medical clearance and then taken into custody for 3 Marathon County Sheriff’s Office warrants.
Officers received a call from a female reporting that her son’s bike had been stolen outside of an area business on Superior Street at approximately 8:45 PM. The bike was described as a 20” BMX, purple and blue in color, worth $200.
Officers responded to a call from a female at an apartment building on Lincoln Street reporting that on the night of 8/1/19, someone entered her apartment and took her wallet with $200 and her credit cards.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a gas drive off of $44. The vehicle was described as a grey SUV, possibly at Chevy. The incident had occurred at 1:10 PM. The caller told officers that they would review their video tape and see if they could get more information.
Officers assisted with an EMS call for a female subject that had lost consciousness at a residence on Forrest Road.
Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at 7th Avenue and Superior Street. Property damage only.
Officers executed a search warrant at an address on 8th Avenue. Two subjects were taken into custody on a Department of Corrections order and were transported to Corrections.
Sunday, August 4th
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at 3rd Avenue and Clermont Street. The caller told officers that one party was out of a vehicle and another party was sitting inside a vehicle and appeared ok. One vehicle was towed.
Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was just hit by a car at Dorr Street and 7th Avenue. The striking vehicle was described as a newer black Chevy sedan with two male subjects inside. After striking her, they waved her across, glanced at her and left going northbound on Dorr Street approximately 5 minutes prior to the call.
Officers responded to a call reporting that two dark vehicles, one pulling a trailer, were parked on the west side of Hwy. 45 on the south side of town. Men were walking around, but the caller did not know what the problem was. Officers determined that the two vehicles had been in an accident. Property damage only.
Officers responded to a call from a female on Gowan Road reporting that she believed someone had tried to break in. The back door to her residence was bent and would not close. The female told officers that she has had problems in the past with people trying to get in her house. Last summer, someone got in the house, took a shower and left behind some men’s deodorant.
Officers responded to a 911 call from a female reporting that her son was in the alley, on Superior Street, fighting with someone. The caller was unsure who the other party was. One subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to Langlade Hospital for medical clearance.

Tuesday, July 30th
Officers stopped a vehicle at 8th Avenue and Superior Street. Officers conducted a standard field sobriety text. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Wednesday, July 31st
Officers responded to a report of sparks coming from a power line on Cty. Rd. Y. When officers arrived they noticed a branch on the wire, but there were no sparks or fire at that time. WPS was notified.
Officers responded to a report of a golf cart versus a vehicle accident on Bass Lake Road.
Officers responded to a call from a male subject stating that he had an outstanding warrant and wanted officers to pick him up at an address on E. 10th Avenue Road. Officers determined that the male subject had a child support warrant out of Shawano County and he was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a call from a male on Lake Street reporting that someone broke into his detached garage and stole some items. The caller told officers that he did not know when the theft occurred but he first noticed that the items were missing that day.
A vehicle crossed the centerline at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. T and almost struck an officer’s squad car. Officers stopped the vehicle. The driver told officers that he had dropped his soda.
Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting that they were following a black Dodge pickup that was southbound on Hwy. 45, passing Knight Road. The caller told officers that the driver was trying to pass vehicles on the right and was hitting the shoulder of the road and the centerline. They were also speeding. Officers stopped the vehicle on Hwy. 45. The driver was cited for speeding for going 78 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.
Officers responded to a rescue call reporting that a raft was flooded by the Hanson Rapids, north of Cty. Rd. M. Two female subjects were on a rock, but ok. The White Lake Fire Department was also enroute. The females were rescued prior to the officers’ arrival. They were somewhat intoxicated and given a ride home.
Officers responded to a call from a female reporting an attempted burglary at her residence on Pond Street. The caller told officers that a screen was ripped and the window was bent with smudges on it. She did not believe that the entry was gained. She told officers that it had happened some time that afternoon.
Thursday, August 1st
Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. N. A subject was taken into custody.
Sunday, August 4th
Officers responded to report of an accident at Cty. Rd. J and Larson Road. When officers arrived, first responders were on the scene. The driver was conscious and breathing, but had facial injuries. The male driver told officers that he lost control of his vehicle, went into the ditch and hit a power pole. The vehicle was towed.
