ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, August 22nd
9:01 AM Officers issued a parking citation for a vehicle parked on 3rd Avenue. The vehicle must be removed by 8/26/16.
3:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a child screaming near a downtown business on 5th Avenue for ten minutes. Officers spoke with a male subject who said that a child was playing loudly. He was advised of the complaint.
Tuesday, August 23rd
12:07 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that his vehicle was struck by another vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Vehicle 2 backed into vehicle 1 causing rear bumper damage. Vehicle 2 then drove off. A witness gave officers a license plate number, but the number was wrong. A voluntary report was filed.
3:03 PM An area business on Hwy. 64 called to report that one of their employees was just scammed by a male subject playing a poker machine. The male subject was acting suspicious and had cashed out for $80 and then $60. When the machine was checked, there was no money played on the machine. The male subject was described as 6 ft. tall, in his 40’s and sounded Southern.
4:50 PM Officers were on Clermont Street for a two vehicle accident. A voluntary report was filed.
7:12 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 3rd Avenue reporting that his car got egged at approximately 3:17 AM and he had it on video. Officers questioned some suspects. A female subject admitted to throwing the eggs. Officers issued a citation to her.
7:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Hudson Street reporting that her car was egged. Eggs were thrown at the back end of the car. Officers questioned some suspects. The same female subject from the other egg incident admitted to throwing the eggs. Officers issued a citation to her.
Wednesday, August 24th
2:00 AM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a female subject fell off a railing at the corner of Edison Street and 5th Avenue. The female subject had squatted down to urinate over the railing of the stairwell. She fell backwards, landing on her head/back at the bottom of the railing. She was very intoxicated. The female was transported to the hospital.
3:44 AM Officers responded to a call from the emergency room of the hospital asking for assistance with a female patient (the female from the previous report) that was getting agitated.
12:05 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Center Street and Clermont Street. The driver was cited for operating while suspended.
12:47 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that there was a man in this 40’s sitting in the street on 4th Avenue. He had dark hair and was wearing a blue “jump-suite/mechanic” type clothing. Officers were notified. They were unable to locate.
3:25 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at an area business on Neva Road. A non-reportable accident report was completed.
3:31 PM Officers responded to a call from an employee of the school district requesting that an officer speak to the owner of a trailer parked on Elm Street. The employee added that the owner had continued to drive across the school lawn tearing it up. Officers advised the owner that he needed to move the trailer before school begins.
4:52 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a female subject texting while driving. The female subject, driving a Chevrolet Malibu beige four door vehicle had turned west on 3rd Avenue from Superior Street had been texting and almost struck the male caller in the next lane. The female subject was described as being heavy set, in her mid-20’s, with long hair with a female passenger in the car. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
5:12 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Badger Avenue requesting an officer stop at his residence regarding vehicles who continue to speed past his house. The male caller requested an extra patrol. Officers were going to place a speed board on that street next week.
7:46 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Dorr Street and 6th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for displaying non-police vehicle blue lights and failure to provide proof of insurance.
7:54 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Weed Street reporting that a male subject just hit him several times for no reason. He told officers that his attacker was still inside the house and he was waiting outside. All subjects involved were very intoxicated. They had different stories about what happened. There were no injuries. The male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay fine for ignition interlock device tampering.
8:42 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Forrest Road. The driver was given a written warning for operating without headlights.
8:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was just assaulted by three individuals while on the walking trail on Graham Avenue. He gave officers the names of two male and one female subject. The male caller thought that the one male subject may think that the caller still owed him money. Officers were unable to locate the individuals. Officers referred one male subject for disorderly conduct.
9:38 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident at the corner of Clermont Street and Century Avenue. Vehicle 1 was southbound on Clermont Street. It slowed for the intersection, but could not stop because of defective brakes. Vehicle 2 braked, but collided with vehicle one. The driver of vehicle 1 claimed to be wearing a seatbelt, yet said that he hit his head on the windshield. EMS was paged as a precaution, but the driver declined transport.
10:06 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report that a small Yorkie type dog ran into her apartment on Clermont Street. It was black/brown with a pink collar. The dog was taken to the Humane Society.
Thursday, August 25th
6:21 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Forrest Road. The driver was issued citations for speed and operating without a license.
3:08 PM An employee of Langlade Hospital called to report a hit and run accident near door 5 in the parking lot that occurred at about 2:30 PM. There was damage to the left quarter panel of the vehicle. Photos were taken. An accident report was completed. Officers were able to identify the owner of the vehicle who left the scene. They made contact with the female subject on 8/28/16. She admitted to the hit & run. A citation was issued.
7:09 PM A female subject called to report finding a gray cat/kitten on the corner of 10th Avenue and Superior Street. She told officers that she would be taking the cat home and could be contacted if anyone was looking for the cat.
Friday, August 26th
12:25 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 10th Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
1:12 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 5th Avenue. The driver was cited for speed and given a written warning for a defective tail light.
1:47 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. The driver was cited for speed.
10:22 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a problem with a former employee that came to their business demanding his paycheck and causing a disturbance. The business requested that officers talk with the male subject and inform him that he was not allowed on the property. Officers warned the male subject. He denied causing any disturbance.
3:23 PM Officers received a call from an employee of an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting retail theft. The female subject was described as wearing a black t-shirt, ponytail and had dark hair. The caller lost sight of her and could not guess what she was driving. The female subject walked in between vehicles to her vehicle and left.
5:24 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a black Honda Civic with gold rims was speeding and cutting people off while driving on Neva Road. The vehicle was stopped on Superior Street and 7th Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for no proof of insurance and was warned about his driving habits.
7:54 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kaplanek Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
8:23 PM Officers were out with a disabled vehicle at Forrest Road and Superior Street. The female driver was cited for no insurance.
8:29 PM Officers responded to a call from an employee of an area business on Neva Road reporting that an employee’s vehicle was struck. It was not witnessed, but the vehicle was pushed back from where it was parked. A video was obtained. It was a semi hit & run. Officers were investigating.
Saturday, August 27th
3:10 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, cited for operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol content, no insurance and was given a written warning for speed.
3:10 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 10th Avenue. The driver was cited for speed.
3:58 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for speed.
11:06 AM Officers responded to several calls reporting that a female bicyclist was struck by a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. The male driver of the vehicle had stopped at the stop sign and then turned right. The female cyclist had entered the roadway without stopping and struck the vehicle. The female subject had a minor scrape on her left elbow area. A state report was filed.
11:55 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he had borrowed his van to a female subject three days ago so that she could go to the doctor and she has not returned the van. The female kept telling the male caller that she would bring it back, but she hadn’t. Officers left a voicemail and email message with the female subject to call them ASAP.
12:10 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for operating while suspended.
2:41 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Deleglise Street and 4th Avenue. The male driver was issued a citation for operating while suspended.
7:01 PM Officers responded to a report from an area business on Edison Street that an intoxicated male subject was in the business and had grabbed a woman inappropriately and she had pushed him away. The male subject was also spitting on the floor. He walked out the front door after being told that the police would be called. He was described at 6 feet tall, 250 pounds, wearing a gray shirt. No one in the business knew his name. Officers were unable to locate.
9:54 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on the corner of Ackley Street and Edison Street. A female driver was given three citations for left of center, no insurance and no registration.
11:43 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Edison Street asking for assistance with a male subject that was intoxicated and trying to start numerous fights. The subject went out the back door. He was wearing blue shorts and a t-shirt. Officers sent the male subject on his way and he was advised not to return.
Sunday, August 28th
2:41 AM Officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. The driver was issued a written warning for operating without a license.
2:44 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and 4th Avenue. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 5th offense. The female passenger was also arrested for bail jumping.
2:48 PM A stray dog was found on Edison Street. It was a small poodle type dog with brown and white hair, a collar and tags. It was taken to the Humane Society.
4:46 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Superior Street who was holding a stray dog. It was a medium sized black dog with some white and had a red collar. The dog was taken to the Humane Society.
8:07 PM A female subject came to the Safety Building to report some identity fraud. On 8/28/16 at 1:00 PM she sent some money to someone who she thought was her brother. The recipient was not her brother, but armed robbers (in Milwaukee) that acquired her brother’s cell phone. The female subject was now out $300 from her credit card. The suspects were known by the female’s brother.
Monday, August 29th
12:39 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that someone else had called her and told her that there were people in her house on Morse Street. She was out of town and no one was supposed to be there. She wanted the people removed. Officers removed two individuals from the home
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, August 24th
7:36 PM Officers were advised that a male subject brought a female jail inmate some personal property to the jail. Officers located in the belongings a small jewel bag, commonly used for drugs, located in a black glass case with some glasses belonging to the female inmate. The substance in the bag tested positive for methamphetamine.
Friday, August 26th
11:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a red Ford Freestyle was northbound on Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. B in Neva swerving on the roadway. Officers sent a teletype to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office about the vehicle.
Saturday, August 27th
8:24 AM Officers received a call from a male reporting that he was assaulted by a female subject at an area business on Antigo Street in Elcho at approximately 10 PM on Friday 8/26/16. The male caller stated that he was dog sitting for a female and he walked into the business with the dog. The female subject hit the male caller in the face because she didn’t like the female owner of the dog. The female subject was kicked out of the business after she hit the male caller in the face. There were several witnesses. The caller wanted to press charges. Officers were investigating to try and identify the female subject.
2:00 PM Officers received a call from the Langlade Hospital ER reporting that they had a seven year old male subject with a significant wound to his face from a dog bite that occurred in Elton. The boy was bit on the right cheek by a black lab owned by a male subject on Hwy. 64 in Elton.
Sunday, August 28th
12:11 AM Officers responded to a request from the Shawano County Sheriff’s Department to assist in locating a vehicle that just went into a ditch and then continued northbound on Hwy. 45 into Langlade County. It was a black SUV, possibly a Jeep. Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. D. A female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.
Monday, August 29th
5:27 PM Officer received a phone call from a female reporting that she received a call from the FBI. The male subject that called gave her a badge number, name, and phone number from Los Angeles. He told the female caller that she had money coming from Publisher’s Clearing House and they needed some information. Officers advised the female that this was a scam. They told her that they would keep the information on file.
