Antigo Police & Langlade Co. Sheriff Reports for 2/13/17
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, January 30th
2:02 PM Officers received a call from the owner of an area business on Neva Road reporting that they were continuing to have problems with two female customers. The two females had caused problems that day, and were asked not to return. The younger female subject had made accusations about a male employee touching their food, so they refused the food. The business refunded the females’ money and asked them to leave and not come back. Officers advised the owner to contact them if the female subjects returned.
3:14 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they were holding a female subject for shoplifting. Officers arrested the female subject on a probation hold and retail theft charges.
Tuesday, January 31st
12:38 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female subject on 2nd Avenue reporting that her cigarettes were stolen yesterday. Officers advised the caller that 911 is for life & death emergencies, not for things that can be reported on another line. The caller then told officers that she had let a female subject stay at her residence because she was sick and when she fell asleep the female subject left. She then noticed that her tobacco and some medication were missing. The female caller told officers that she was missing about 50 Lyrica pills. Officers went to the other female subject’s apartment on 5th Avenue to question her about the missing items. The female caller then came to the Safety Building to report that when she was doing laundry, she found her prescription bottle in the other female subject’s pants. Officers arrested the second female subject for theft.
3:21 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that they were detaining a male subject for retail theft. Officers cited the male subject for retail theft.
5:03 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a co-worker sideswiped her car at an area business on Hwy. 64.
Wednesday, February 1st
1:35 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Avenue. The driver was issued a written warning for a defective brake light.
3:17 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject on N. Hogan Street reporting that a male subject was in her home and being physically and verbally abusive with her and her sister. The male subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
5:50 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Deleglise Street. The driver was given a verbal warning for an expired registration.
9:53 AM Officers received a call from a female subject on 3rd Avenue reporting that her computer was hacked. The female told officers that she had gotten a pop up window to call a number and she allowed the subjects to remotely access her computer. She told officers that she had cancelled her credit card and froze her bank accounts, but she was concerned about her social security number and other information. She was not out any money at that time. Officers advised her to place a credit freeze with the three credit bureaus.
10:06 AM Officers issued a citation to a male subject on Clermont Street for an abatement issue. The male subject had unregistered vehicles on his property. Officers advised him that all the vehicles must be registered.
3:05 PM Officers responded to a report of a minor accident on the corner of Superior Street and 10th Avenue. Vehicle 1 was stopped at a stop sign waiting to make a left turn. Vehicle 2 was stopped at a stop sign waiting to go straight. The vehicles both moved at the same time and collided in the intersection. A state report was completed.
Thursday, February 2nd
3:31 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that her vehicle was backed into while it was in a parking lot on Superior Street.
4:51 PM Officers stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. The female driver was charged with burglary and felony bail jumping.
6:39 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that she struck a truck in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. A voluntary report was completed.
Friday, February 3rd
1:07 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a missing female subject. The female was described as wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans and having blondish brown shoulder length hair. Officers located the very intoxicated female subject lying on the sidewalk near an area business on Prosser Place. It was only 2 degrees outside. The female was crying and did not remember her address. The female subject was cited for underage drinking, given a ride and turned over to family members.
3:47 AM Officers were out with an unoccupied vehicle in a snowbank at Deresch Street and 7th Avenue. The vehicle had some damage and the front bumper was off. The vehicle was towed and held. Officers spoke with the male driver on 2/4/17. He told officers that he may have been speeding and he lost control. He told officers that alcohol was not a factor. The male subject was cited for failure to notify police of an accident, failure to keep vehicle under control, traveling too fast for conditions and no insurance. A state crash report was completed.
5:17 PM Officers received a call from a male subject on Superior Street reporting that a white Chevy Venture van turned off of 10th Avenue, southbound onto S. Superior Street and right after turning, the side door opened and someone tossed a whole bunch of garbage onto the roadway. Officers were advised.
Saturday, February 4th
9:30 AM Officers received a call from a female subject on Morse Street reporting that another female subject got cable and internet service using her name and information. Officers told the female caller that she needed to provide proof that this occurred. Officers also tried to make contact with the suspected female subject, but were unsuccessful.
12:10 PM Officers responded to several 911 calls reporting a vehicle versus semi accident at Clermont Street and Century Avenue. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed.
Sunday, February 5th
11:31 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a male subject for shoplifting. Officers arrested the male subject on an outstanding warrant and a probation apprehension request. He was also cited for retail theft.
12:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was issued a citation for speed. An education class was offered.
1:06 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Western Road. The driver was issued a citation for not wearing a seatbelt and was warned for speed.
4:38 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Clermont Street reporting that some time the night before, someone struck her blue vehicle in the parking lot of her apartment building. The striking vehicle had white or silver paint transfer and the passenger side taillight was damaged. Officers were unable to determine when the accident took place, or if it occurred in the parking lot of the apartment building.
7:35 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that he was assaulted by another male subject. Officers arrested the second male subject for domestic battery.
Monday, February 6th
1:07 AM Officers responded to a report of a fight at an area business on 5th Avenue. A male subject was removed and told to go home.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Monday, January 30th
12:47 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female reporting that she struck a log in the middle of the road on Hwy. 64 approximately 1 mile east of Hwy. 52. She requested that a deputy come out and view the damage. The vehicle was towed and the log was removed.
3:18 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a two vehicle accident at Cty. Rd. D and Hwy. 45. There were no injuries. Both vehicles were towed. The Highway Department was advised of a stop sign down at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. D.
Tuesday, January 31st
6:43 AM Officers responded to a report of a rollover accident on Hwy. 45, just north of Cty. Rd. N. The male driver was getting out of the vehicle. He was not injured. The vehicle was towed.
10:09 AM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover accident at Cty. Rd. A & Claire Rd. The female driver was trapped in the vehicle. She had minor injuries. The vehicle was towed.
10:12 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male subject from Arizona reporting that he rear-ended another vehicle driven by another male subject near Cty. Rd. I and Clover Rd. There were no injuries. One vehicle was towed.
5:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject from Wausau reporting that he rolled his vehicle at Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. C and they were upside down, but ok. The vehicle was towed. A state report was filed.
Wednesday, February 1st
5:33 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject from White Lake reporting that he slid on his side into the east ditch with his vehicle on Hwy. 45, just south of Elcho. One lane of traffic was closed for approximately one hour while the vehicle was removed.
Thursday, February 2nd
5:54 PM Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle rollover, 5 miles west on Hwy. 64. A female subject was complaining of head and neck pain. A second vehicle then struck a tire that was knocked off of the rollover vehicle and it was pulled over on the side of the road. The vehicles were towed.
Friday, February 3rd
2:27 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting a possible intoxicated driver, going southbound on Hwy. 45 from Cty. Rd. X. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. The female told officers that the vehicle was weaving, crossing lanes and speeding. The vehicle was described as a crème colored car with a tan roof. Officers transferred the caller to the Shawano County Sheriff’s office as no available officer was in the area.
Saturday, February 4th
5:23 PM Officers came upon a vehicle in the ditch on Huggins Road off of Hwy. 45. The vehicle was towed.
Monday, February 6th
4:35 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy. 64 and Muraski Road. There was no damage to report.
Tuesday, February 7th
4:52 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that the semi-truck of lumber that he was driving went off of the road and into a field near Cty. Rd. G and Lonely Road. Officers made contact with the owner of the semi-truck. There was no damage. The truck was towed.
Wednesday, February 8th
8:12 AM Officers responded to a vehicle versus mailbox accident on Moose Lake Road. There were no injuries. A state report was completed.
10:27 AM Officers received a call from a male subject on Cole Street reporting that 180 pills were stolen from his mailbox. He had already notified the Post Office and the Veteran’s Administration that had sent him the medication. The empty packages were found in a driveway down the road by a neighbor who brought them to the caller. 90 Lisinopril and 90 Furosemide pills were missing. Both were blood pressure medications. Officers were advised.
