ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, August 6th
7:26 AM Officers received a call from a male reporting that money was stolen from his vehicle in the amount of $1,190. The caller told officers that he had left his house on 6th Avenue that morning and had the money on a black clipboard. He then stopped at two addresses on 5th Avenue and another on Edison Street. He had left the vehicle unlocked and running. He told officers that he was unsure where the money had been stolen, but he had not seen anyone around his vehicle. Officers were advised.
Wednesday, August 8th
12:25 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at an area business on S. Superior Street. The male driver was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
3:29 PM Officers were at an area business on Memory Lane on a warrant attempt. A female subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
8:37 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that someone broke into his residence on 2nd Avenue that day and took several items including some food. Officers also received a teletype from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office about an inmate wanting to file a complaint, stating that his ex-girlfriend broke into his residence, on the lower level of the same building on 2nd Avenue. Officers found that the suspect had gained entry into the lower unit by reaching through an already cut window screen by the back door and unlocking the door. The suspect gained entry to the upper unit by using a small knife to open the door latch. Items missing from both units included keys, clothes, shoes, a cell phone and food. Officers were investigating.
9:08 PM Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on 5th Avenue. A female subject was arrested for possession of meth and a probation hold. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth. They were transported to Corrections.
11:57 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was “passed a fake” $10 bill at an area business on Neva Road.
Thursday, August 9th
10:52 AM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her wallet (containing $14 in cash and credit cards), pay stubs, a box of envelopes, two bandanas and everything in the glove box were taken from her vehicle on Clermont Street. The caller told officers that her vehicle did not lock. Officers were advised.
4:18 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a female shoplifter. The female subject was arrested for retail theft and bail jumping.
6:46 PM Officers were out with a male subject on Clermont Street. The male subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
6:57 PM Officers were at a residence on Edison Street. A male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant. A second male subject was arrested on a Shawano County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
8:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 1st Avenue. A female subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for resisting or obstructing an officer.
10:15 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from an upset female subject who said that officers should be sent to a residence on Superior Street. She then hung up. There was no answer when dispatch called back. Another officer said that this female subject had been at the Safety Building that night to talk to officers, but was very high on meth. She then started feeling too scared to talk and ran off. Officers arrested the female subject for battery to a law enforcement officer, criminal damage to property (the squad car), disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and criminal trespass.
Friday, August 10th
3:33 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a two vehicle accident in front of an area business on 5th Avenue. Vehicle 2 proceeded from a legal parking sport on the south side of 5th Avenue and made an illegal u turn to travel west. Vehicle 2 turned directly into the path of Vehicle 1. Property damage only. The female driver of Vehicle 2 was cited for failure to yield the right of way and making an illegal u turn.
6:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a burglary that happened sometime with the last month to her garage on Charlotte Court. She told officers that the majority of the items that were in the garage were missing. There were several tires still in the unit, that didn’t belong to the female. The female caller was going to get officers a list of the missing items. She gave officers the name of a possible female suspect.
9:23 PM Officers were out at an area business on Edison Street. A male subject was cited for possession of marijuana, 1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia, 1st offense.
9:52 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue. One male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an illegally obtained prescription. A second male subject was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, August 11th
5:24 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a younger male subject was passed out on the sidewalk near a residence on Wilson Street. The subject was described as wearing green shorts. The caller told officers that the subject was breathing. The male subject was taken to a residence on Anderson Drive.
9:00 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Clermont Street reporting that a female subject had knocked on her door asking if she knew who an approximately two year old boy belonged to, as the child had been in the road and she had almost hit him. The boy was only wearing a diaper and a t-shirt. The female had been trying to find the child’s mother for 15 to 20 minutes. Officers took the child to the Safety Building. The child’s mother called officers a short time later. She told them that she had been sleeping when the child got up and left the house. All of the doors had been locked. A neighbor, who saw her door wide open, woke her up. That is how she found out that the child was missing. The child was released to his mother.
Sunday, August 12th
6:08 PM Officers were at a residence on Dorr Street on a warrant attempt. The male subject opened the door and pitched a joint. Officers could smell an odor of burnt marijuana and saw a wall of smoke inside. The male subject knew that he had an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant. Officers checked the residence and located an abundance of drug paraphernalia, marijuana and morphine. The subject was arrested on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant and a Department of Corrections warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, August 9th
2:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Wilson Road reporting that someone had smashed the back window of his Jeep. He told officers that it was not like that earlier that day.
8:00 PM Officers responded to a 911 call requesting an ambulance at a residence on Carley Road for a 35 year old male with a cut arm and leg, possibly from a grinder. The male subject told officers that he was grinding a lawn mower blade with a hand grinder when the grinder blade broke and it hit his arm & leg. The male was transported to Langlade Hospital by ambulance.
Friday, August 10th
1:17 PM Officers received a call from a male on Bissell Street reporting that he had just been released from jail and now noticed that his debit and credit cards had been stolen from his apartment while he was gone. The male told officers that his apartment had no locks and he had given a male and a female subject permission to look after his cat. 7:40 PM The male called back saying that he found out that his cards had been used at four different businesses while he was incarcerated. He told officers that he had cancelled his credit card and he would be going to his bank the next day. He also said that he would be getting a statement from his credit card company to show officers the fraudulent charges.
7:15 PM Officers were at a residence on Cty. Rd. T on a warrant attempt. A male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant. He was transported to Corrections.
Sunday, August 12th
12:31 AM Officers responded to a call from a female with a noise complaint on E. 10th Avenue Road. She told officers that she could hear a lot of girls screaming and guys swearing at a nearby residence. Officers found out that the subjects were having a bonfire. One male subject and three female subjects were cited for underage alcohol. Two male subjects were warned by officers about having a party where underage subjects were drinking.
3:37 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that he was in a swamp and could hear traffic on River Road, but could not get out. He was lost and needed assistance. Officers assisted in getting the male subject out.
Monday, August 13th
2:39 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was involved in a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 64 and Polar Road. She told officers that she had rear-ended a pickup truck, but she said that the truck had no brake lights or turn signals. The caller told officers that the other driver, a male subject, had left the scene northbound on Polar Road wearing khaki pants, a bluish-white shirt and carrying a cooler. Both vehicles were towed.
