Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 8/6/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, July 23rd
5:47 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had some items stolen from his vehicle while it was parked in front of a residence on 8th Avenue. The items stolen included some pool cues, a winning $10 scratch off lottery ticket, and $5 to $10 in change. There was no damage to the vehicle. Officers believed that the vehicle was unlocked.
5:58 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a two vehicle accident at S. Superior Street and Birch Street. The female driver of Vehicle 1 told officers that she was driving southbound, when a vehicle in front of her was slowing to turn into a driveway. She then slowed/stopped to allow the vehicle to turn. Vehicle 2 was behind Vehicle 1. The female driver of Vehicle 2 told officers that she didn’t realize that the vehicles in front of her were slowing/stopping and she struck Vehicle 1 in the rear. Vehicle 1 had minor damage to the rear. Vehicle 2 had minor damage to the front. There were no injuries.
Wednesday, July 25th
6:25 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting the theft of gas and cigarettes in the amount of $37.68. A female subject was named as a possible suspect. Officers were investigating.
Thursday, July 26th
2:33 AM Officers were out at City Park on Aurora Street with a group of juveniles. Two female subjects were cited for violation of curfew. A male subject was cited for underage alcohol and violation of curfew.
1:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a male subject pulled out of his driveway on Dorr Street and struck his van. Vehicle 2 was illegally parked northbound in the 100 block of Dorr Street. Vehicle 1 backed from a driveway and did not see the parked Vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 in the passenger side panel causing light damage. Vehicle 1 sustained damage to the driver’s corner rear bumper. There were no injuries.
8:01 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting four suspicious looking subjects that walked into the woods behind an apartment complex on Ackley Street. The caller told officers that there were 3 male subjects and 1 female subject. Officers cited two male subjects for possession of marijuana, 1st offense.
Friday, July 27th
11:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Morse Street reporting that a male subject, wearing a black hoodie and with a slim build had walked into their house. The people in the home yelled at the male subject who then ran out and left in a black car going northbound on Morse Street. The caller told officers that this had occurred 15 to 20 minutes prior to the call. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
11:25 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kelly Street. The female driver was given a written warning for a defective tail light. A male passenger was arrested on a probation hold and was cited for underage alcohol.
Saturday, July 28th
12:23 AM Officers were out with a male and a female subject in the 700 block of 5th Avenue. The male subject was arrested on a probation hold, possession of heroin with intent to deliver and bail jumping. He was also cited for open intoxicants. The female subject was also taken to the Safety Building to try and confirm her identity based on the name she gave officers. They were unsure if the female was the person she named or actually her twin sister. Officers were unable to make a positive identification and the female subject was released. Officers were later able to talk to the female subject’s sister in Green Bay who said that her sister had used her name, because she has an outstanding warrant.
Sunday, July 29th
12:04 AM Officers were out with two male subjects at 5th Avenue and Edison Street. One male subject had a plastic cup with vodka and both subjects walked away from officers upon first sight. They were told to stop twice and once they rounded the corner, the one male subject threw his drink. The male subject admitted to officers that he had vodka off the premises. He was arrested on a probation hold for not stopping for officers and was transported to Corrections. He was also cited for open intoxicants off premises.
12:58 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was involved in an accident in the 1500 block of Clermont Street. A vehicle that was backing out of a driveway, struck him as he was passing by. Property damage only. There were no injuries.
3:25 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus moped accident at an area business on S. Superior Street. The caller told officers that the moped driver was on the sidewalk, with unknown injuries.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Friday, July 27th
11:18 AM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a one vehicle rollover on Hwy. 55 between Lily and White Lake. The caller stated that a female subject was crawling out of the vehicle and refusing an ambulance. The vehicle was towed.
2:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he was just involved in an accident at Cty. Rd. D and Hwy. 45. The male caller told officers that he had been on a test drive from an area dealer. The driver of the second vehicle told officers that he had been southbound on Hwy. 45 and didn’t see that the truck that was driven by the call that was facing southbound and making a left turn on Cty. Rd. D. There was a very minor scrape on the right rear bumper of the truck. The second vehicle had a cracked left front bumper.
4:10 PM Officers responded to a report of an ATV accident at an address on Schmidt Road. One 33 year old male subject had an injury to his head which he hit on the pavement. He was unconscious for a time, but was now conscious. The male subject had not been wearing a helmet.
11:23 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his 22 inch, blue Huffy bike had been stolen form the fairgrounds. He told officers that he had locked it inside the fence on Neva Road. There were no suspects.
Saturday, July 28th
3:25 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he had been in an ATV accident around Diamond Roof Road and Sawyer Lake Road. The male stated that he had a broken leg and possibly a broken arm. The male subject told officers that he had been riding his ATV with his father along the trails when he took a corner too fast and ended up driving through some brush and struck a tree. EMS was on the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. The male subject was airlifted to the hospital.
