ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Tuesday, July 6th
Officers received a report of trespass to property at an address on Gruber Street. The incident occurred sometime between July 4th and July 5th.
Officers received a report of trespass to property at an address on Freiburger Avenue. The incident occurred sometime between July 4th and July 5th.
Officers received a report of trespass to property at an address on Gruber Street. The incident occurred sometime between July 4th and July 5th.
Officers received a report of trespass to property at an address on Hudson Street. The incident occurred sometime between July 4th and July 5th.
Officers received a report of trespass to property at an address on Virginia Street. The incident occurred sometime between July 4th and July 5th.
Officers received a report of trespass to property at an address on S. Virginia Street. The incident occurred sometime between July 4th and July 5th.

Officers responded to a call from an area business on S. Superior Street reporting retail theft. The caller told officers that two male juveniles riding bikes had shoplifted some items. One was described as wearing red shorts. The other subject was described as having dark hair and wearing a teal shirt. It was discovered that the subjects had dropped the items outside of the building. The business had video of the incident.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 45. One vehicle rear-ended the other vehicle. There was some road blockage. One male subject was complaining of pain from hitting the steering wheel.
A subject came to the Safety Building to report that sometime the night before or that morning, someone punched a window in an apartment at an address on S. Superior Street.
Wednesday, July 7th
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that they had two male subjects for shoplifting. The two subjects were cooperative and admitted to officers that they were the two subjects from a shoplifting incident at another area business the day before. The business told the subjects they were no longer allowed there.
Officers executed a search warrant at an address on 10th Avenue.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on 4th Avenue.
Thursday, July 8th
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on 5th Avenue.
Friday, July 9th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. A female subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at an address on 1st Avenue. The two vehicles had backed into each other. There were no injuries.
A subject came to the Safety Building to report the theft of three vehicle titles and a set of keys. The subject told officers that the theft may have occurred about a month ago.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a retail theft in progress. The female subject was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle which was parked in the north parking lot. The male subject took off running. Officers took control of the vehicle. Officers spoke with an employee at another area business who said that a male subject matching their description was seen running across Hwy. 64 to another business and was weaving through campers. The male subject was apprehended. Officers took the male and female subjects into custody. They were taken back to the business where the theft occurred and later released with citations.
Saturday, July 10th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Deresch Street and 1st Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at an address on Edison Street. The caller told officers that 10 people were threatening them and they believed that they had weapons. When officers arrived, everything was fine.
Sunday, July 11th
Officers received a call from a subject at an address on 5th Avenue reporting a missing necklace and wedding ring.
Wednesday, July 14th
Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Clermont Street. A subject was taken into custody.
A female came to the Safety Building to drop off a cut off ankle bracelet that she found on Hwy. 45 on the south side of town. The Probation Department was contacted.
Officers responded to a report of an accident at an address on 5th Avenue. A truck had backed into a vehicle.
Officers responded to a call from an area business at an address on Edison Street for an unruly customer in a semi that was refusing to leave. Officers advised the male subject to leave and he did.
Officers responded to a call from an area business at an address on Clermont Street. The same male subject from an earlier call was now at this address causing problems. Officers spoke with the male subject and asked him to leave. Officers told the business to call if there were any more issues.
Thursday, July 15th
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at an address on 5th Avenue. The caller stated that there was a fist fight in the back lot involving two male subjects. By the time officers arrived, one of the subjects had left going northbound in a silver Pontiac. Officers stopped the vehicle at Edison Street and 2nd Avenue. A field sobriety test was conducted.
Officers received a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a retail theft. The caller told officers that approximately one hour prior, a male subject stole some items from the self-checkout and left the business walking westward. The subject was described as wearing a gray zip up with blue jeans shorts & shoes. He had a scruffy face and was wearing a black hat with lettering on the brim and had a black backpack. The business had photos of the incident.
Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on Neva Road. A male subject was taken into custody and transported to Corrections.
Friday, July 16th
Officers responded to a report of retail theft at an area business on Hwy. 64 involving a male and a female subject. The subjects attempted to skip scan items in the amount of $99.24. One of the subjects had 7 outstanding warrants from the Department of Corrections, Portage County, Marathon County and Wisconsin Rapids. The subject was arrested. The other subject was allowed to leave with an infant. Both subjects were referred for retail theft.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on Neva Road. The caller told officers that a subject had come there and started a verbal argument with her, spit in her face and then left. The caller told officers that they wanted to press charges. Officers arrested the subject.
Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated subject at 5th Avenue and Lincoln Street. The caller told officers that the male driver of a vehicle was talking gibberish. They thought he may be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Officers conducted a field sobriety test. The male subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated and taken to Langlade Hospital for a blood draw. They were also cited for possession of marijuana.
Saturday, July 17th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 6th Avenue a male subject was taken into custody.
Officers attempted to make a traffic stop at S. Superior Street and Birch Street for a driver not wearing a seat belt. The vehicle turned to get away and blew the stop sign at S. Superior Street and 10th Avenue. The driver turned his lights off and continued driving southbound. Officers later believed that they had located the vehicle on Cty. Rd. S going northbound. Officers later terminated the pursuit and teletyped surrounding counties with information on the incident and a photo of the vehicle. The subject would be charged with felony eluding.
Tuesday, July 20th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. A search was conducted. A subject was taken into custody.
Wednesday, July 21st
Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on Balsam Street.

Wednesday, July 7th
Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting a theft at an address on Plzak Lane. A zero turn Greyleaf lawn mower and a can of gas had been stolen from the garage.
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Hwy. 45. Officers determined that the male subject was a missing juvenile from Marathon County. A Marathon County Sheriff’s office deputy came to pick up the juvenile.
Friday, July 9th
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Cedar Road and Huggins Road. The driver of one of the vehicles took off towards Huggins Road, heading north towards Antigo, wearing a tank top and shorts. The subject had told other parties that they were wanted by the police and had a bag of money. Officers were looking for tracks. A K9 officer was en route from the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office. Officers set up a perimeter on Cty. Rd. D, east of the accident, by a corn field. The vehicles were towed.
Sunday, July 11th
Officers responded to a report of a motorcycle accident with injuries at Hill Road and Cty. Rd. S. The motorcycle hit a crane. The driver was awake and alert, but complaining of hand pain. They possibly had a broken thumb. The crane was still alive, but quite injured. REGI was contacted.
Officers responded to a call from a male on an address on Hwy. 47 reporting that he just returned from camping and saw that someone had blown up his mailbox. He told officers that shrapnel was all over the road and yard. Photos were taken.
Monday, July 12th
Officers responded to a report of an accident at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. I. The male caller told officers that his fiancé was following him on a tractor pulling a rake, going approximately 30 MPH, when a box truck came up from behind and hit her. Emergency medical services were not needed. The truck was towed.
Thursday, July 15th
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on Cty. Rd. B.
Officers responded to a report of a one vehicle accident at Cty. Rd. AA and E. 10th Avenue Road. The vehicle hit and busted an irrigation pipe. The driver had been using their phone while driving. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. The driver was cited for inattentive driving.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Hwy. 64. A field sobriety test was conducted. Some drug paraphernalia and marijuana that were found were left in evidence for destruction.
Officers assisted another agency with an arrest at Hudson Street and 3rd Avenue. A subject was taken into custody.
Monday, July 19th
Officers responded to a call from a female on McCloud Road reporting that there was a female subject on her property that was not supposed to be there and she would be holding the female at gunpoint until officers arrived. The female caller then gave her son the phone, the phone started to break up and the female told her son to hang up. Dispatch attempted to call back, but got no answer. When officers arrived, they cited the female subject with trespassing and cleared the scene.
Tuesday, June 20th
Officers responded a call from a subject reporting an accident on Cty. Rd. D. The caller told officers that they were driving on Cty. Rd. D when a silver vehicle pulled out and struck them. The driver of the striking vehicle did get out, but they got into an argument and then the subject took off. When officers arrived on the scene, a male party told officers that they believed that the striking vehicle was a Chevy Cavalier. The driver of the striking vehicle did eventually return to the scene.
